  1. I couldn't figure out how to do that AND have some blurb. Becos i is no gud at computaz
  2. and I've just totted up and that's 6 votes for each. You're not helping
  3. How can you be so hurtful? Just look at it: Ferrari used to dream about creating designs with this kind of coherence, artistic language and classical beauty. And the shonky BL bits just add to the charm if you ask me 🤣
  4. Thanks! Got a little campsite behind it if you're ever in the area: https://www.facebook.com/Stroudcampsite
  5. Tough one, innit? Weirdly, my wife much prefers the Disco to the RR. If I can find an efficient way to keep both, I will. Neither are currently depreciating as far as I can tell.
  6. A year ago I bought a Disco 300TDI. Manual, 140k, leather etc and a decent bus. Went through a new MoT last month, no awful rust and mechanically really sound. Worth £2.5ish 2 months ago I picked up a P38 bargain. V8 auto, 125k. Also in decent condition. MoT til Nov, and will probably need a few ball joints for the next one but nothing more. Worth £2kish That kind of money won't change my life, and I like them both in different ways. Which one should I sell?
  7. That is a gorgeous Series 1, but your reasoning is spot on. They're not that much use most of the time these days. My Series 2A has sat in the field for months now.
  8. Here you go. It's a Renault 4 van. It looks beaten up. It has a CT and Carte Grise. It's 2300 euros Best of all, it's in a town called "Beer" 🍺 https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/2153526603.htm https://www.google.com/maps/place/37150+Bléré,+France/@47.3010705,0.9847912,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x47fcb7cda60eab81:0x2291fbc7d1074edc!8m2!3d47.327514!4d0.990986
  9. Cars are dearer in France than the UK, as lesapandre says. I suspect they've had their own scrappage scheme, which has spoilt the party somewhat. Plus the CT will be much stricter than our MoT if it's anything like the German TuV. I share your dream, but suspect we're at least 20 years too late.
  10. This looks as if it might actually drive: https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/2132570392.htm
  11. https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/2141856624.htm or the equally moribund: https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/2137912932.htm

  13. Bonjour! https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/2153823446.htm
  14. OK, here's my opening gambit: https://www.leboncoin.fr/recherche?category=2&locations=Menton_06500__43.77475_7.50492_6333_30000&order=asc&price=0-2000 <2000 euros, within 30km of Menton Need to go through an pick the choicest chod!
  15. People have been 'restoring' Land Rovers like that for years 🤣 No shame in being realistic!
  16. Hope you got a pass. Those welderating and fab skillz definitely deserve one - mine will never look that good!
  17. These must have come after the bloody awful Transit based 'City Nippas' which I remember enduring as a student in crappy Exeter '89-'93. I don't remember them being in service when I was there, but by '93 I lived in a house where I didn't need to take the bus and drove a Saab 96 V4. Get me 😎
  18. No it isn't. It's not a Duple Dominant 😉
  19. My mate's B was throwing a lot of oil out of the breather 'system'. Bores are unworn, and problem seemed to be caused by a crap breather design rather than wear. Might be worth a look.
  20. The 1800 B + overdrive would make it a really usable old car, without so much power it would get into trouble. I would hang onto the 50bhp motor for the sake of originality. The gearbox I'm not so sure - undergearing is what makes a lot of old cars such a chore to drive these days, rather than a lack of power.
  21. It would feel more 'P38' if you got a sigh of satisfaction occasionally
  22. Nice work. I also have the Nationwide account thingie. It's not cheap, so ought to actually work properly when you need it.
