But they're so fucking expensive! Anyone know of anywhere in Europe (or further) where they're reasonably priced?

Yes light comes on when I drive it, has anyone fed 2 wires off 1 sensor?Have you driven it? Many ABS problems need a certain speed and distance to be achieved before the lights go out.

2000 clk 230 abs light on, solus says its rear right sensor so I change it, ring cleaned and good, light stays on. Other side swapped and light still on. 1st question is what values should I be getting when testing resistance through sensor, 2nd question is can I feed both wires off one sensor bypassing the dodgy one? Thanks in advance all help much appreciated

Went to look at this again last week. It seems solid but owner drove into a car park barrier breaking the roof and tried to fix with sellotape! The result being a damp, Mouldy, fucked interior!. Being the 4wd model I reckon it's worth saving so offered him a grand! His reply was he'd take £2500 as that's what he'd get online. If anyone's got more money than sense I'll put you in touch

Yes the button flashes red?????? Haven't checked the oil level yet gonna have a mess with it laterOi, you're almost describing my missus there - though she's 49 and they're not fake, and her CLK has a blue roof.
I know a bit about the soft top on these due to bitter experience, does the button flash red when you try to operate it? Could be out of sync (operate everything manually a couple of times, including the catches), or low on oil.

Just acquired this piece of shit clk.
Guy I know bought it for his missus and the key started playing up. Key sent away for recoding and worked fine. At mot time it failed on a few daft things, garage does work then key plays up again. Key sent back but won't work so car been parked up since December. Mouldy as fuck inside and out but came up good after lashings of strike and elbow grease. Key not working properly as it's immobilsed so temporary cock up live feed to fuel pump and it runs good. 2.3 kompressor thing goes like shit off a stick. Guy assured me roof did work but now it don't but easy enough to do manually.Blowers don't work. sat nav disc missing. Apart from all that it's quite nice. Straight enough without the usual rot. In for mot this week. Wing looks a totally different colour in photo but not bad really. Possible roffle......

I just rang the seller as it's been on my mind all week.
Seller was Irish.
Doesn't have history as he 'bought it from a company'
Stuck in 3rd gear as well as needing a punch to get out of park.
His mechanic has checked and it just needs a new selector @£50
He will accept £1100 just to get it 'out the way'

Don't suppose anyone has one of these?
I want to put the original stereo back in my e23 but it's missing. The only one on eBay is £20 + £9 postage!

Spotted a very mouldy camper a and left a note....phone rang the next day 'yes it's for sale'
It's been parked up since 2013, inside looks clean, proper camper thing with bed above cab.
Apart from the obvious is there anything I should be looking for when I view it tomorrow. It's a K reg diesel. Belt or chain?
Thanks

Just got my early 70's dandy out ahead of carfest after 10 years. It's like the day it went in my lockup. Stinks a bit like. Proper musty old caravan smell.
Growing up we had a folding caravan thing called a 'chateau mobil' I'd love to find one. Anyone got anything similar?

I really, really despise people knocking on the door asking if I'm selling stuff, no, otherwise it would have a for-fucking-sale notice on it.
I've never actually had one, but if I did that would be how I felt about it.
Wrong. Sometimes people are giving it some thought and the knock on the door makes their mind up. I bought a lovely original mini last year by a note on the windscreen, the owner rang me and said she was sick of it being vandalised as she had no off street parking so yes it is for sale. I also waited in mcdonalds car park for the owner of a lovely e23 to come out, told him I'd love to own it, gave him my number and he rang the next day saying he'd had a think and maybe it was time for something newer! I've still got that one five years later and a couple of months ago he seen me out in it and followed me home in his new micra saying he was made up to see it still going etc....
