  1. Belmont had a Datsun/Nissan place opposite Meadowbank stadium in Edinburgh. When the disastrous commonwealth games were being held in 1986, they released a 'limited edition' Sunny or Cherry with a games sticker on the rear.
  2. Alexanders now long gone. They sponsored Hearts kit for a while in the 80's.

  4. ..and remember, only a fool breaks the two second rule!
  5. Years ago, my dad had to leave BSM for this very reason. I was quite glad because I went from learning in an Austin Metro with a terrible gear-change to a lovely F reg Nissan Micra which was much nicer to drive.
  6. A nice person gave me this as a Christmas gift. I've been after it for a while.
  7. I seem to recall something akin to a sopping wet and very dead hamster.
  8. ...Citroen Saxo VTRs. Where did they all go, mashed, bashed and crashed, I suppose? It did seem to be the Chav car of choice around five to ten years ago. A colleague of mine had a BT yellow one. It was totally hideous. It seems to have been replaced by that white Vauxhall Corsa with the gloss black alloys. You know the one, I'm sure. And those facelift Ford Fiestas released around 1999. I think I saw one recently but it seemed they were omnipresent until a few years ago.
  9. Has anyone had a problem with their garage refusing to track front wheels due to the positioning of the track rod ends? My local garage have told me they cannot fix my front tracking because of the track rod ends being 'on top rather than below'. This apparently means he cannot make the adjustments necessary during the procedure. I have a 2002 Civic. I phoned the usual suspects - National Tyres and so on - who were all happy to do it for me. Thoughts?
  10. Serious question, how can you remove this stuff from car paint work?
  11. Fore Sail One owner car of indeterminate origin. Could be a Renault 14. Offerz!!!
  12. My brother just told me about a retired doctor on Facebook who spent 46k restoring an elderly Saab 900 Turbo. It's now for sale at 26k!
  13. More dioroma pics please, Felly. I wish I had a diorama for all mine, so I do.
  14. Knight Rider, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law. BTW, we cut the roof off your car, buddy. Is that OK?
  15. Yip, Ronals on a Renault are pretty smart. And I like these on the Yank version of the Silvia. I always think that alloys with very little 'gappage' look good.
  16. Selling (in no particular order) these... MG Metro. Ford Escort 1.6 Ghia, white with a BVR. Lancia Delta HF Turbo, although to be fair it was completely fucked. Triumph Spitfire. Peugeot 309 GTi.
  17. I saw a few old clunkers when out at the beach today. A white Allegro estate closely followed by a Triumph Herald. I think they were in convoy. A Morris Minor and a nice light blue Beetle with black alloy wheels. Also something else but I can't remember what it was.
  18. I almost bought a white one just like this recently. When I say 'nearly bought' I wrote down the guy's phone number on the windscreen advert.
  19. Name the bint, please. The programme sounds really good.
  20. Why don't new cars come with handbrakes?
  21. My first Saab 900 was named The Tank. My second Saab 900 was named The New Tank. My brother's latest Saab 900 is known as The Interceptor.
