I've had a run of higher-end vehicles recently through work. Today that run ended with a PINK Fiat 500

The trouble is breaking cars is mosty shit. Yeah, everyone else seems to be able to sell their interior for £200 or something, but when you advertise them they either end up making £1.14 on eBay, or sitting in your garden under a CPT as a constant daily reminder of what a failure you are at everything as your missus is only too keen to remind you.

About 35 years ago , me and two mates rented the integral double garage off a woman who's husband had just buggered off with his secretary. Seriously, people actually did that in real life not just Carry On Films.
We used it to store stuff too valuable to trust to Council lock ups that we sort of hi-jacked by putting our padlocks on empty ones and never paying rent.
One evening I went round to get some RS Alloys out that we'd sold in Motoring News, I was invited in for a coffee...
One thing led to another and I'd often pop in for a coffee* over a year or so. Never mentioned it to my partners in crime( bad choice of words) and she never said anything when we were all there. The husband came back eventually and we were asked to clear it out, all good things come to an end etc.

Fast forward about 20 years and a group of us are reminiscing about the number of old Fords we must have scrapped in our youth and the places we stored cars and parts.
My mate Dave confesses" Remember that old bird we rented a garage off?" She was probably under 40 at the time, but hey. " I was shagging her 2 or 3 times a week for the whole time we had it".

At that both me and Mark , the other Musketeer, sheepishly admitted to doing the same thing!
I bet she was glad of her Old Man coming back for a rest!
It has never been spoken of again.

He is our first aye... we were more or less told we'd never conceive naturally but this little bugger proved otherwise.

I'm home and flying at 40,000 feet, mum and baby still in hospital... hoping to have them home tomorrow

You need a written contract, with proof of ID, and address and contact details. Photograph his passport and proof of address, and insist payment is by standing order only.

You need this for when the Police raid it and find that it's a cannabis farm, in your name.

Have written into the contract that YOU are NOT liable for damage, caused by leaks, loss of roof, etc, and that failure to pay the rent, allows you to make contract void, and allows you to evict within 7 days without resorting to court. Anything left in garage after 7 days is up is deemed to be yours to keep.

Actually go to a self storage place and pretend to want to rent a small unit, and ask to see their standard contract.

This Bavarian Panzer of distinction now lives in deepest Bedfordshire, alongside two Alfas, two Rovers, a funny-face Fiat and a geriatric Vauxhall that is perhaps too old to be sh*t

All good, with the added bonus that the cruise control is demonic; not unlike my Missus.

Many thanks to Stephen01 for your patience.  Sorry that your lad will miss it

Some of the properties I'm looking at buying for BTL have horrendous tiles that could be transformed with some paint for £50 or replaced for a couple of grand

Most, if not 4G.The exceptions at the moment seem to be "old people's" phones with massive buttons etc, a lot of those are 2G only but they stay on the market for ages unlike smartphones that get a new version every year.

The last phone to launch as 2G only was the remake of the Nokia 3310, and that's just been upgraded to 3G

Felicias have been ridiculously cheap since they were about 7 years old and now squarely in the cheapest of cheap shite bracket with no sign of movement - wonder if any other car will be quite so persistently worthless?

    Love them though!

It SHOULD fail the MOT according to the rule book but you’d need to have an awfully fussy tester.

Popped over to the lock up today. Spied a plastic drawer/storage type thing. In perfect nick, just a bit dusty. Grabbed for use in the Galaxy to put food, clothes and so on in. Saved the planet and saved myself a few quid in the process. Happy.

I can think of a few occasions it'd have been seen as too lenient.

Such as the yoblet who knocked an old granny over while cycling through a pedestrian area at twat-like speeds years ago. No plod needed at the time though as I made a grab for him as he went past & happened* to get the front brake with results you can guess. I wish my reactions where still that good.

*Yes I aimed for it, but never expected to be successful.
