As the GGG will recall, at that classic car show in Woodsmoor/Stockport we learned of the existence of hatchback Mitsuokas, by spotting a blue one.

Some of them were jazzed up a bit inside. EDIT - this is a Mitsuoka Ray. Sorry.

I'm honestly surprised there aren't any Mitsuoka owners among us.

    Based on a K11?

They are K11s, with extra Jaguar-esque bits tacked on one or both ends - they come in hatchback (that looks shit), or saloon.

Ive decided i need to slim down the fleet as some cars arent getting the attention they deserve.
Ok its a Mk2 cavalier in beige with brown trim. 1.6 with 5 gears 4 forward and 1 reverse. Its on 59k but has been for the past 500 miles or so as the odometer doesnt work but the speedo does.
    MOT till may.
    Has sri clocks and wheel.
Drives very well, no knocks, bangs etc.
Basic interior in very good condition.
The fan was permanently running  as someone had bridged the temp sensor fan switch as it doesnt work, i unplugged the fan as i dont tend to sit in much traffic but plug it back in when i know im going to.
The body work has some rust blebs but no holes and could easily be sorted.
Paintwork is overall ok but its been sprayed at the front and its not the best.
The rubber plate between the carb and manifold is cracked so idle from cold isnt the best but once warm its fine.
At this moment in time the fuel gauge isnt working but im looking into it.

As September has ended the Yellow Allegro had come off the road for the winter. This has many the clearing out of it's space in the garage which had been filled with mower and small trailer.

MGF needed to be jump started first

Then the former banger rally car pushed into the corner space, requiring a 14 point reverse park.

Re The Cars that Made Britain Great....

I got approached by the production company for that back in January. Gave us a massive list of all the cars they wanted models for and could we source them. They reckoned it'd be nice to have the celebs looking wistfully at the model while they regurgitated something an intern had found on Wikipedia. They also ought it'd be nice if the celeb could. Keep the model afterwards.

So anyway we could source most of them so gave them a quote (a very reasonable one it must be said) to which they replied that sorry they didn't have a budget but could we do it for free and they'd give us a mention on the losing credits.

Mere nanoseconds passed before I gave my verdict. The lack of celebs holding models and the fact we aren't on the credits tells you all you need to know.

There's been a lot of talk recently (and always) about the forum changing for the worse. I am of the mindset that evolution is natural and different isn't neccesarily bad, however I've reached a point with Autoshite where I don't think I can carry on. There is still a lot of excellent content provided by great people but I am struggling to appreciate it as it seems to get diluted more and more with inane rubbish from people with nothing to say but who are determined to say it anyway. That and the myriad of threads that should just be posts in existing threads. I have limited internet usage and availability and it's just getting too much to trawl through even the many top drawer threads to find something of humour or interest or worthiness. Someone mentioned a couple of pages back about typing out a reply but not posting it, and I wish more people would consider that approach. Ask yourself 'is anyone at all going to be interested or gain anything from what I'm typing?'. If the answer is no then maybe reconsider. This is not meant as a rant or a flouce or whatever else and I'm definitely not looking for sympathy or owt but I just reckon there's nowt for me here anymore. I'll still be doing the 6000km round trip to Shitefests whether I'm welcome or not, 'cos I love everyone of you fellow wierdos I've met previously and I'll still get PM notifornications through my e-mail in case anybody wants any Bulgarian car ad translations or inspections or if anyone wants to visit. I hope I don't come across as the moany type who adds no content themselves, I've tried, I really have. 25 pages of pan-european spottings, various quizes, videos and suchlike have hopefully been of slight interest to someone. I'll see you next summer when hopefully someone will have railroaded Trigger in to doing his duty hosting SF17, or else you can all come here.
Also, I realise the irony of mentioning the upsurge in worthless posts whilst posting this which has no worth or interest, I just felt I needed to press 'send' instead of 'delete' this one last time. Soz for wasting your time with this self-indulgent waffle em-eights. C U L8ER.

I went round my dads this morning, and spotted something he hadn't told me about in the back of the garage behind his Mk1...

Turns out he randomly bought this 1957 Ford Pop as a little winter project, the last owner died so his family was selling it, its done a believe genuine 36000 miles and comes from Diss in Norfolk when new. It's a little bit scabby around the roof seams and the bottom of one of the A posts and it needs a bloody good polish again.

I couldn't get very good photos as it's in the back of the garage.

The interior needs new carpets and the clutch pedal sticks half way down.

I must admit I'm very surprised that he's bought it, the last owners just spent £3500 having the fabric roof restored and headlining done and a load of engine work. I'm not sure it's my cup of tea but i can't wait to have a drive of it!

I always had a real fondness for the 5-slot AMG Monoblock wheels, as (kind of) seen on 24v Granada Scorpios

I like them so much I put a set on my Audi, which kind of makes me look a bit of a VAG scene whore, I'm not.
