Yes, one pond is almost 6 RON.
I wouldn't expect a pond to have an octane rating!

Yaris.
MR2 wheels fitted have finalised the look for now, staggered 6/6.5j with 195/50/15 Rainsports all round. I might space out the rear 10mm when I'm not broke.
It still needs a passenger driveshaft, but it's now had:
rear beam polybushes (before I got it)
rear ARB
front strut brace
new dampers/Eibach lowering springs
all brakes replaced
MR2 wheels and tyres
stainless exhaust
K&N washable panel filter
a fancy delrin gearknob
OEM under seat subwoofer.
At some point, the only thing left to really do is add upgraded front wishbones, and maybe 10mm spacers on the rear wheels, but otherwise it's ready to just drive and drive. I want to see it to 200k - I started at 106420 in December and I'm up to 113k.

Boooooo.

Five years ago I engine swapped a Civic. It was a bit of a bodge job. And it was still automatic.
Time to do it again properly, with more knowledge.

For the screen we should just make a playlist of the best of the YouTube Moments thread, and stick it on a computer with uBlock Origin, full screen, low/no volume, done.
Or AS classics?A to B, Twin Town, Restless Natives, Goodbye Pork Pie, C'etait un rendezvous, the C15 outdriving Astons... you get the idea. Ronin perhaps, for people that have only seen seven minutes of it?
Or the wildcard of sticking a HubNut video or something on and letting the algorithm shove something at us. -

Cosford would be ace btw, been meaning to go for yonks. Is the BRIXMIS Senator still on display?

anyone had problems with Camskill?
Quite the opposite, they're brilliant. If you have a tame fitter it's about the cheapest way to do tyres.

Yaris has had a slow flat since I bought it. Goes down every 3 days.
Asked the tuning shop to sort it with the exhaust, they couldn't find an issue.
It was audibly leaking...
Anyway there's a local car guy I see around a lot that's recently bought an EG Civic. I've spoken to him on Instagram but that's it. It transpired he was a tyre fitter at my local Ford dealer and was happy to do a repair in exchange for a set of EG wheeltrims I had knocking about. Win win. He found the hole easily, but it hadn't gone through the tyre completely hence why they couldn't find an issue the first time. Drilled out and plugged, sorted.

YES.
I don't drink any more so you're all slightly* safer too.
Considering I only own sports toasters now and have no car buying plans (?!), I'm not sure which I'll bring, probably the Civic as it's more interesting, and doesn't scrape on much for how low it is. I can't sleep in either (probably) so I'll likely tent it. I hate storing tents...

Rounded out my unemployment by spending the week driving the Civic and generally larking about.
I also picked up some more goodies for it, SiR door cards which are a bit better for sound deadening and look lush, and an unfinished JDM rear plate conversion that I'm going to prep and have painted.
I'm now an IT consultant.

I used the sedan about ten times last year, if that. Couple of shows and runs on nice days.
Coming out the house to it every day, I felt bad looking at it. It wanted for nothing, but left me lacking enthusiasm, and I've been taking my hatch Civic out over it every time. Drove it around Christmas and it felt weird. Not right, I'd fallen out of love with it. I drove it again on Valentine's day and I just knew it wasn't right any more. The Yaris has taken up its practical side, and the hatch Civic my passion and the fun side. What use was it to me?
My friend needed to borrow a car. I lent it out, 'cause I trust her with it.
And well, she's ended up keeping it, cause she loves it. I've got my money back on it and it's gone on to a great home where I'll still see it about. Driving around with it there with me is surreal, but it's the right thing. I'm glad it's being used and that I get to vicariously enjoy it.
It's in good hands, it's with a certain Favorit owner who doesn't do things by halves...
It's been a sweet two and a half years. But sometimes, if you love things, you need to set them free.

I'm going to take a punt the fact it's a modern VW in a colour is a contributing factor?

Do you have any better ideas on how to sort the WagonR then?
Or are you even researching ideas for it?
I've not had time, but I'm going to start doing some Japanese Googling to find out.

S class has made it back here. It had just had a new battery installed by the RAC as it'd shat.
Glow plugs and AC compressor have been replaced at significant expense.
It's alright - drives like a 124 with slightly better handling. Slightly too many buttons and things, but loads of nice features. Air suspension good. Could have been comfier.
Felt reasonably torquey but nothing special - after some fresh diesel it properly pulls now.
There's a knocking noise that sounds like it's coming from the prop under load, the radio has shat itself and only plays deafening static (though apparently this is common on COMAND and just comes and goes), and the throttle position sensor keeps throwing EMLs that put it in limp - thankfully I had a cheap OBD reader with me so I could clear those so as not to impede progress.
The WagonR also got stuck in limp and limited itself to something like 50kmh, I managed to lose my dad in the process somewhere on the A1 so he's had to call the AA.
We really like the WagonR - dad was smitten with it til it went into limp, hopefully there's nothing too seriously wrong with it, he's been trying to convince my mum into it.
It's probably grumpy from being underused at the moment - it's 11 years old but only has 30k km on the clock, and was probably sitting around a lot in the import process.
Also, the 'grille' on the WagonR lights up!

Argh, the Yaris wheels are too narrow - I briefly had some 15x7 et35 on there and it was spot on.
These MR2 wheels are 15x6/6.5 stagger et45, and you can just tell the track feels narrower and the car isn't as planted, and wants to lift-off in the corners. The rears sit way too far in (they do that standard), they need to go down to et35 to fill the arches, so I'll have to space them out 10mm.
This is all on the same 195/50/15s too. I'm on the lookout for something slightly lower offset that will counter the issue all round.
