So, normality looms large. We're now n Hoek of Holland waiting on the 10pm ferry. Think we've done just over 3000 miles since leaving hame on the 2nd. Still 500 to go when the ferry docks. All going well, well be home tomorrow night.

Fuel seems cheaper here too, around €1.60.
That SP26 really is an amazing road, took in the petit pass st Bernard and then the routes des Grandes Alps which is tight and narly like a good Scottish mountain road. Mpg dropped to 10 so had to back off a bit in fear or draining the tank and the wife's constant screaming was getting on my nerves.

Seen many more Brits in France than anywhere else including a few tame motorcyclists, not shown.

Stumbled across this the Italian branch of Autoshitti on the SS 26 to Aosta. That poor 159 wagon. I was up for towing it hame but the wife wasn't, sadly.

Still on the road, Lilo di Jesolo over the weekend and been slumming it around Lake Loch Garda since Monday. Pretty good.

The best bit is. On our second visit, I bought some coolant sealer and that so far seems to have fixed it at least temporarily. We're currently camping out in the Austrian Alps, near Insbruck  which is decent.

Munich was really really really good. We had to leave before I became a lush. By god the Germans like cars, beer, sausages and shopping. We did some retail therapy. Konrad my favourite motor accessory shop where I buy all my coolant don't yeh know.

Made it to Munich, currently in the House of Beer this could get messy... Here till Thursday, CL having a well earned rest. Arrived late last night and as we parked up the coolant warning low popped up on the dash, bless. Yesterday was back roads all the way in 30c heat.  those Goodyear tyres are amazing, haven't been near breaking traction or understeering, just endless grip. Epic.
Took a run by Sindelfingen the town the CL500 was built, but it was corporate MB crap so headed into town for a beer instead. Nice town. Cheers.

Second MOT in my ownership booked for 2nd March and the cars twelvth. I will be fitting new rear discs N pads at the weekend, have those in stock, let's hope my OB2 machine can conquer the leccy handbrake, it should.... That's not all though as I was told by MOT man last year, I'm putting the brake pipes, front, middle and rear as an advisory for this year, but they're fucked and will need replacing in full next year.  You have been warned! 💀
Well it's next year already! I've been quoted somewhere between £200 and £400 depending on how it goes and whether it also needs the flexi hoses doing which are only available from, gulp. Land Rover. Best not scrimp on brakes though as they're needed, sometimes.....
P.S. The MTEC front discs and pads are very really good indeed, bit more noise stopping from high speed due to the drilled and grooved'ness. But it's not excessive, just a quirk of the design.

The other thing about driving an Autoshite CL500, no matter where you pull up, your pretty much guaranteed to have the best motor in the car park, no matter.
