Iâve got a kit with an inclinometer in already for bmw / Prince junk . Whatâs the betting itâs not cross compatible -
Mrs Twosmoke is an awful erratic driver so Iâd prefer better tyres on it for the inevitable lock ups đ

Yea sad state of affairs really and doesnât benefit anyone really . -
Cheap chance to try one really . Itâs not perfect but nor will the ones at twice the price be either . Any of you previous 100hp sufferers recommend tyres ? Itâs got 195/50/15 on now which is meant to help the ride over the std 45 profiles . Demon tweaks have toyo tr1 on offer for 40 odd quid at the mo .
-
Bit more than ÂŁ250 sadly . But pretty cheap for one of these these days . Missis wanted either a panda or some kind of hotish hatch so why not combine the two . Canât see any rust on it anywhere and mot history is rust free I think so fingers crossed. Usual panda suspension clunks etc . Needs two tyres and timing belt . Luckily I know a guy . She got bored of the mini sadly . So I put a clutch and gear linkage repair on it and sold it to a customer of mine . Think sheâs moved away now tho .

The 3 second wait between every gear change doesnât annoy you ?

Think it fitted in with the rest of their range at the time
-
It is exactly that . Usually the fords fare better than the PSA installations because they had a 12500 mile interval vs 20000 but a lot of them are fitted in bland kiddy cars which never get the washer bottle topped up let alone serviced . I look after a couple of early 1.4/1.6 hdis with over 200k on and apart from some injector seals , egr valve and maybe a boost hose they have been solid .
-
Every seems to say that but they give me no trouble at all . Couple of egr valves and thatâs about it
-
Fuck them off and put a set of 4 pot nissins on instead . Done a few for customers and they are so much better.

Nearly all Ford engines in the last 30 years that have been any good were developed by or with someone else Zetec - Yamaha 1.6/1.6 D - Deutz 2.5 duratec - Volvo 1.8 Duratex - Mazda 1.6/2.0 Tdci - PSA see what happens when they do their own engines - transit duratorq , eco boom âŚâŚ..

Didnât Quantum do a kit car with the 1.8D ?
-
I found the 1.6 â sweeterâ than the 1.8 . That really was a slug even in LP turbo form . Ive had a mk2 fiesta van and a mk4 escort 3dr estate with the 1.6D and both gave fantastic economy and almost acceptable performance .
