HH-R got a reaction from Dick Longbridge in The grumpy thread
A grump that turned into a grin:
Was at McDs drive thru, a new Astra arrives at the second speaker just after me. I finish ordering and pull away and this fucker decides he's gonna be in front of me no matter what, floors it and makes me stop to avoid a crash.
Get to the window and it's way cheaper than what I was expecting so I question it and they charged mr angry what mine should have been because they thought it was me.
LOL, I laughed all the way to work. Karma. Hope he choked on his expensive breakfast wrap.

I'm really surprised there are any K11s left. Mine was termanally rotten at 7 years old back in 2006.

Yeah I just chuck the cheapest crap I can find at supermarkets in and often can't be bothered to dilute it and never had any issues.

I hate all the bumpf about the first owner driving down to ABC motors on the first of January 1992 and being a retired doctor who never took the car above 2000 RPM and that. Who cares? The other five owners could have ragged the tits off it every day since.

You see"needs gone tonight" on some right random stuff on Facebook ads, usually an entire second hand bathroom suite posted at 7pm. Yeah, good luck with that one mate.

HH-R got a reaction from oldcars in 2001 Suzuki Wagon R - Sometimes for sale.
Eh, I have a mk2 Rio and think it handles pretty well for something not designed to be sporty and running 175/85/R14s. It does sort of feel like the steering wheel is connected by giant rubber bands though, same with the gear linkages.
I press on quite hard sometimes and the only time it felt funny was in the wet going round a roundabout a few months back when the back tyres were nearing the wear limit and they were mismatched budgets. They have since been replaced with Toyos and it's a lot better. The brakes feel shit if you've driven anything remotely modern even though it has discs all round (95 BHP, what is point) and the fuel economy is poor nowadays (35 MPG) but about average for a 1.4 petrol of that era. It's also the worst car I've ever driven in a cross wind, and I've owned Micras, Pandas, etc. I think Katy Perry wrote the lines "Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, Drifting thought the wind Wanting to start again" whilst driving one of these*.
The 1.4 will keep up with most stuff until about 50 MPH, your average 1.6 litre + TDI will obviously leave you standing if the driver puts their foot down but I wouldn't say it's annoyingly slow at all.
Everyone assumes you're a slow giffer though and will just pull out in front as if you're not there.

Does anyone on here have a stunning gold Citroen DS in the Gosforth area? I've spotted it a couple of times lately.

HH-R got a reaction from flat4alfa in why does the Maxi escape from the flack?
The Maxi didn't really hit it's peak until the diesel model with foot high badging on the boot and paint sprayed all over the tyres and number plates.

Blimey, I bet that Corsa is hard work.
Probably goes better than the EcoTecs ever did though.

I hope they drive an old diesel with a starting handle and mechanical fuel pump. Wouldn't want any of those nasty ECUs...
