Yep. I called them back just now, and theyd gone into a multistorey carpark. Whilst I was trying to ask if they were in Winnersh, they asked a man who said they were at the Winnersh Triangle, which is where I said they were 20 minutes ago...

Dont worry Love, my local knowledge doesnt matter, you follow the satnav blindly. Suddenly all those news storys about dickheads driving up train tracks cos the satnav told them so doesnt surprise me any more! The bloke heard me on the phone through the voicemail and told them they should have listened to me in the first place. I bet that will be my fault too...

SWMBO took her mum to visit her nan earlier, and called me just now to say theyve got lost.

All I can hear is the satnav saying 'turn around', and her mum jabbering on. I eventually work out where they are, but SWMBO goes into a full blown mental, and insists she follows the shatnav, which is about to take her full blown b road cross country, despite her being less than a mile from the m4, where waftage can occur.

I get told to be quiet, so I hang up. Fuck her, enjoy pissing your fuel away going back on yourself 8 miles then 23 miles cross country on a rainy shitty night love, im going to bed.

It's almost certainly a BFO dent, the panels are quite hilariously thin on these. You can bend the roof panel alarmingly far with your pinky finger.

Is it a trick of photography, or is that a BFO dent in the OSR quarter?!?

No thanks. Is it ok to judge a magazine by its cover? Looks like a Top Gear mag back copy.
I got excited when honest john launched the classics site, but now I can't remember the last time I went on it. Car stuff is mostly tedious, with the exception of right here. Until someone brings out 'Overlooked Underdog Monthly' and they do a 'benefits of brown' edition I probably won't bother with car mags.

Edit: having said that, they must have a readers letters page so a crisp £5 for the first autoshiter to get a fact* from the automotive facts thread published.

    I say.
They could learn a lot from this forum, no? Especially the 'how to buy' part. Like the only way buying a Jag is sight unseen, then picking it up after dark, in the rain, in an unlit alley 300 miles from home and such stuff. Or going to buy a Sherpa van for an imminent house move/modern diesel estate and coming back with a Stag/CX. That's the way to do it.

Now, there isn't a collection thread yet as I haven't yet returned home with it. I live in Brum but the CX is in Scotland. The fairly unique nature of my work sees me in Scotland at the moment driving this:

Obviously I can't drive both so the Citroen is being stored at chez 320touring until next weekend when another driver will come on up to take over pink bus driving duties. Then the long, wafty journey back south will continue and tales will be told fully.

A man didn't really live, if he hasn't accomplished the following four things.

    1. Fathered a boy (fathering two supermodels, like I did, is an acceptable compromise).

    2. Planted a tree.

    3. Owned a V12.

    4. Learned how to drive anew, because he purchased a Ford T.

    3. eludes me hitherto (you never guessed, did you? This is the second aspect, where Skizzer is my role model - the first one is owning an R16, but I still have chances to beat him to a Ford T), like it does most of you, but there is hope.

Showing my age = and level of anorakyness - I remember when they came out, and I managed to convince a local dealer to let me have a sit in one... no test drive as I was deemed too young and foolish.

outlaw118 reacted to junior44 in New Shite- Montego Countryman
Back in August I logged on to Facebook one day to find a message from the guy I bought the van from asking if I wanted to buy a Montego Countryman TD with Mot until next February. Despite living in another country now and being on a car buying ban, the obvious thing to do is get your brother and a friend a train ticket to Thurso to pick up the car. So for the grand sum of £550 I got this beauty plus a spare Perkins Prima with 30k on it and a "mountain of spares".  So here she is.

The car has 178k and seems solid enough, a couple of the arches are full of wob and there is now a hole in the sill but underneath has been well undersealed and cavity waxed.

Last time I was home a French guy called Sam was stuck in Inverness in need of a new wheel bearing for his French spec Montego estate so have some bonus French Montego.
