RATLOOK HOODRIDE ROOFRACK NOT SPLITTY BAY WINDOW look has reached the avenger underground of course.I don't see Miss Marple's suitcase and pedalcar on it, so I can only assume the bloke is actually using it to carry stuff on! He is literally using a roofrack as a rack, on the roof!!He's probably knocked 2 grand off the price just for that

Wolseley1660man
BACK OF THE NET I've always though the Avenger had a nice shape. And they didn't rust like certain ones I can think of.
bones96
my mate had an avenger ex police car complete with roof grommets where the lights had been at the time nothing could touch it for speed lol we ended up jacking it up and putting sidepipes on it was funny at the time

andrew e
Spotted yesterday at temple farm scrappies, this pre '68 oval special amongst the modern tat, infact I was suprised how much scattered shit there still was but mainly from the last 10 years, however a pair of 105e replacements were down there still - they were there when I learn't to drive in

andrew e
The strut tops should be fine - only 17 years in the rain, there is a nice daytona yellow estate in front too.
Spottedlaurel
Another vote here for that Avenger, lovely. The young SL got carted about in one just the same spec as that at the age of 2-3 (so will my son remember the Camry as fondly in 30-odd years' time?). Spottedlaurel
Seems as if we’re starting to get a few duplicates on here now. Either our spotting nets are closing in and we’ve seen everything worth seeing, or there’s just less of this stuff out there? The yellow escort estate you mention earlier, is it an auto? Mk1 or 2? andrew e
Its a mark one. Auto? I reckon the transmission tunnel is at one with nature now anyway!

MrRegieRitmo
Wow looks like it's just left the Ford showroom in 1989! That's just how I like em, just as Ford intended - a crisp Scorpio with some tasteful optional sporty addenda. I used to admire cars like this back in the late 80s / early 90s, when cars like this at the top of the Ford tree were very respectable, fine, handsome vehicles, not like the big Ford cars of later years! My dad's first company car was an F reg Sierra Sapphire 2.0 GLS in metallic blue which really signalled our arrival into the outside lane crew! Seeing this picture takes me back & reminds me of the fact I quite liked MkIII Granada (or MkI) Scorpios which I had forgotten as hadn't seen them in that light for many years, just as old bangers now really.
