Spottedlaurel
Good to see the pic's, and great to know that it lives after being jumped on then stored with me - worth the effort!String trick to hold up the chain during head gasket change is interesting. With Datsun they suggest a wedge of wood. Many of you at the R-R 'meat' last night?

retrogeezer
Let me know if it comes up for grabs!Seems like you say that about everything! Does it? There is such a lot I like but it was only really SL's Accord and I would still have loved to own it. Of course, I'd like an E28 beemer, and W123 TE Merc, and early Accord with twin headlights and virtually any 70's or 80's Audi!!! Trouble is, distance/price & the better half are the deciding factors - usually they are too far away from me. I'm not working so anything too expensive to run is a waste of time too - doesn't stop me liking them though eh. And who knows what the circumstances will be when something does come up for sale?? In case you missed it, I bought this from Mr Bollox - fitted all my criteria, cheap to run, plenty of T&T, in tidy condition and local - jobs a goodun! wuvvum
It was great to see it back from the dead, and take it for a spin in its new, non-missfiring form. It's a really sweet little car to drive, if not exactly quick. Having said that, it does go sideways quite nicely on the field outside the Angel.
