This model was 'current' at the time I was working within the parts department operation of a main dealer, the main weakspot is the steering box, these do wear out quite readily and are an absolute shit to change, the shaft that connects with the drop arm passes through a sleeve in the chassis which always seems to get well and truly seized, que large sledge hammer and huge frustration  The kingpins also wear out rapidly, if it has the Peugeot XUD engine there's not much to worry about, even the earlier Perkins Prima diesel wasn't a bad old engine, good luck

Mechanical issues aside, these things drive like they're from the stone age. Even my old shape pre-PAS Renault Master put the LDV200/400 to shame.

I looked at an 02 plate 6 seater last year. It did indeed drive as if it was from the stone age. It was also starting to deteriorate in ways that I hadn't seen for years, and certainly not on something that new. At the time I was doing 300 miles a week and I didn't think either I or the van could handle that. The four figure price tag was also a bit steep for something so attention-seeking.At £200 and with less intensive use it could make sense though.

Driven a lot of vans over the years and I have never got on with these at all. Much better to seek a good Renault traffic or master van or for true shite enjoyment maybe a Bedford midi.
