red5
Evening all, have spent some time on the road for the last couple of weeks in the day (unusual for me - I melt in direct sunlight) and wish to share some electronic images of vehicles I deemed worthy of recording said image. Yadda yadda.Shite caravan being towed by some old heap, couldn't see or overtake to get a pic as I was mostly in a FronterrorLooked old-ish, but H plate gives the game away. That mobile Cinema thing. Drive it !Not one, but two Mpi's. Feel the luuurve. Not a fan normally, but ...An Ace Ace. Quite fancy a old racer. Loads of dents/dings and patches on it. mouseflakes, brickwall, Junkman and 1 other

Lankytim
What's the deal with that ministry of technology thing? It looks fantastic! It was on THE ONE show a few months ago (I think!) There ware a handful converted into mobile cinemas which travelled about showing public information films to factory workers. I think this is the only one left in existence. seth
Great cinema spot! Such a shame its not being driven. Perhaps they daren't risk it on long journeys as I guess if they're booked in somewhere a no show wouldn't be popular. Here's a couple of my shots from Goodwood Vintage last year. Angrydicky
I saw the Mobile Cinema on the back of a lorry near Colchester in January, it's being exhibited all round the country at the moment. I think the vintage caravan in the first pic is owned by someone on the Old Classic Car forum, he's certainly in that area of the country. If it is him, the towcar is a Wolseley 1500
Richard
It must be absolute hell to drive with that massive glass bubble and only these tiny sliding windows for ventilation.
michael1703
Wonder if theyve got a bit of sponsorship off the beeb for that cinema? Your average Joe couldnt afford to haul that around the country

Split_Pin
Wow @ the Escort. Vehicles with '666' plates either seem to catch fire or survive an awfully long time

red5
Seen on the way home - couldn't get closer at the time - some bloke taking pictures of my classic Fords would make me somewhat suspicious to be fair.... mk2_craig
Shite caravan being towed by some old heap, couldn't see or overtake to get a pic as I was mostly in a Fronterror Mild amount of internet trawlage produced this: So Angry Dicky is bob on! +1 on the Escort Ghia - always regret parting with my mk3 when I see a half decent example like that. anonymous user
red5
Tales from the helm of a Fronterror part one... Passed this on way to work....Still plying it's trade. Looked tidy as well. But, there's more. Literally 10 yards further on a landmark is back - missed it previously numerous times... But, wait.....to the left, the left man !! Looks like someone has spooked the herd....it's a bloody stampede of the feckers... anonymous user, Junkman, mouseflakes and 1 other

Tayne
Tales from the helm of a Fronterror part one... And that Land Rover might be an uber-rare 90SV. It is an early UMM isn't it?The front end has hints of GAZ about it and that plate comes back as a '62 Land Rover... brickwall

red5
Daily driver - Traveller under the cover...75 for added Rover-ness Love/hate for me. I chose the poorly rated, undervalued and despised everytime. The other one is a 2CV.. Bonus shot showing the resigned look my dog has as we stop at random places for chod pics..... boobydoo
Could you pop back to the Triumph owner and ask why he wanted to put black and white plates on a car that would never have had them in the first place and then went and ordered them in a font that didn't exist on b/w plates anyway. I'm confused. Also I take it the inhabitants of no 109 are averse to any form of gardening? mk2_craig and scruff

shedvan
Isn't that Metro a car with blacked out windows rather than a Metro van? Looking at the window frames I reckon it is and I think early Metro vans before the face-lift were badged as Morris. red5
Entirely possible - although didn't look like blacked out windows from my vantage point, fairly sure (therefore probably wrong) they were body coloured. Will endeavor to have a closer look if spotted again. Esp with 'city' badging...
shedvan
Just looking at the picture I think* I can make out a darker black outline on the rear window/panel, a Morris Metro/Van would be very cool indeed, I wonder how many are still about? The ever dodgy How Many Left? website reckons 5 on the road
