seth
Nice spots. Just reply to your own thread to add more. That Golf is instant "RAT not rusty/76 ball/banded steel"I've seen the pink Japanese van in London before - there's a red one near me too that Pog spotted one time. Ross_K
Somebody should tell these scene muppets the whole banged-up rusty Mk1 Golf thing is sooo 2006.
mk2_craig
question for the established posters here - is it preffered to put all my spots in one post by adding to my original pic and mix thread and then editing title with update ? if so wheres the edit button on this forum ?What Seth said. Don't put extra content in your original post, as once it gets to two pages or more, people don't tend to look at the first page. However, editing your original post does allow you to change the thread title e.g. "Local spots - Hove actually - TREDIA TURBO 3/5/08"
reallyloud
I think that Golf is half way through a 'scene' transformation. After no doubt dragging it through the Atlantic, expect a roof rack, wide steelies, 76 ball and smugness within the next few months. Either that or the owner really is a local Steptoe/Trebus/wierdy beardy. I'd still like a mk1 golf though.
Spottedlaurel
Difficult to say whether it really is that rubbish, or was something half-decent made to look like that. That’d be the trouble with owning a VW, people would always leap to conclusions about any particular look you’d achieved and in innocently fitting the wrong roofrack or WHY you might have committed some terrible faux-pas.Much more fun to own something nobody has a clue about, probably the most looks I get are from the drivers of trucks with Hiab cranes…That Viva HC is rather nice isn’t it? I’d much rather have that please, they always look nice on the Rostyles.Interesting Luton body on the Cabstar. Whenever I see AP or PN registrations I always wonder if they’re ex-Nissan UK, but I suppose as that’s what the local dealers would have used it’s just coincidence. mk2_craig
The Golf - just noticed the beam deflectors on the front lamps, doesn't look LHD from that angle though? DVLA says first reg in UK 1997. Would agree that it looks more "shagged" than "scene" and that it's destined pretty shortly for recycling instead of ebaying.
outlaw118
That Viva is lush, that pink thing simply horrid.Golf gagging for the track....
Richard
The Golf claims to be a 1300 diesel too. I'd say it's been abroad long enough to acquire LHD headlamps and then repatriated in 1997.

Karmann Ghiaman
Nice red '64 KG coupe there, now with a Canterbury FN reg, though it's an ex-California lhd. A lot of them in the Brighton/Hove area. Young doctors buy them, but soon get rich & trade 'em in for Porsches. I like the way you photographed it from your car on may 1st mr reno, thanks!
