Guest greenvanman
I'd agree with r.welfare though as this is without doubt one of the friendliest forums I have seen with almost everyone to a man united in the shared love of old tat. Can't say I've noticed any cliqueyness on here though!Ditto. I don't think there's much in mcqueenmachine's other generalisations about the posters on this forum either, just looks like a bit of light-hearted stirring to me. RENOMAD
Renault owners cliquey------Absolutely-----We live herein Renoshite.com,,,,,,,,,mmmmm,which gives me great idea
mk2_craig
If this place is cliquey, its probably cos we've only got about 20 members! Theres probably loads more out there who have asked to join but have not recieved the approval email, unlike regular contributors 'zzzhorsecockXXXX365141' and 'teenpr0ngetabigerection719v1agra'.Probably. The alarm bells no doubt only start to ring when "shagged_strada" and "s0lara_l0ver" try to sign up
pompei
Just as I'm reading all about the Cheeky-Chappie girls, Mark and Lard (for it is not he) announce on the evening wireless that old Lemmy and Gabriella ar eto marry. fotorabia
Ah, the Highlands! One of my favourite parts of the world, and now with probably the best driving roads in the country so long as you'vre not trapped behind a caravan! It was the Ben View Hotel in Strontian ,Ardnamurchan.Last place i saw my Mini Van before my Mum sold it for 80 quid...churs...RAB
Karmann Ghiaman
Congratulations to Lemsip & Miss Dracul. A great day for Estonian-Roumanian relations, makes you proud to be English on this, St George's Day. Think proposal was in the Trevi Fountain, not in a Lancia Trevi, but no doubt the one is named after the other (or perhaps t'other way round). It just shows what happiness comes to people who get mentioned here on Autoshite, doesn't it? Time for another gratuitous picture of them (both the Cheekies, not Lemsip who somehow lacks, er, any of their appeal):   If you are still a bit jealous of Lemsip, remember their mother... Marty
It just shows what happiness comes to people who get mentioned here on Autoshite, doesn't it?In that case can I mention Anneka Rice and myself in the same sentence?Perhaps she will turn up in her yellow jumpsuit and whisk me away in her chopper (unlikely as that one is at the bottom of the channel). I live in hope....

Still a top show though. At the risk of sounding deeply unpopular, does anyone else find those cheeky girls curiously sexless? Pretty enough but the image above illustrates their somewhat less than womanly figures...if you see what I mean.
retrogeezer
I'm 38, live in Cheshire after moving from Hampshire and like pretty much anything old, although mainly 70's & 80's stuff I guess, and have a tendency to be drawn towards bigger German stuff, Beemers,Mercs,Audi's but also like Jap stuff a lot and euro tat too... What category am I???Haven't noticed any 'cliquey' ness here whatsoever...

Pretty enough but the image above illustrates their somewhat less than womanly figures...if you see what I mean.I actually find them somewhat eerie, like haunted dolls.Sometimes they inexplicably remind me of the terrifying stop-motion animated bit in The Terminator, where the exoskeleton is stumbling towards the door (but they shut it just in time). I have no idea why so specific, but that just makes them all the more frightful.
r.welfare
They are odd, aren't they? But somewhat easier on the eye than Mr Opik's previous squeeze, whose scaly, orange skin will surely mean she has to retire early when they introduce HDTV broadcasts of the News & Weather I would have thought. Torsten2001
I don't know if this has been discussed before but there seems to be two distinct groups on here. 1. Group one. Younger and probably living in the South East. Like Renaults . Can take it a bit too seriously. Like to post, reply to each others posts and end up with threads that come across as cliquey. 2. Group Two. Old buggers. Mainly in North or Mids. Like big luxo-barges - Alfa 164, Merc 126 S-Class, BMW E28. Been there, done that, T-shirt acquired and subsequently recycled as polishing cloth . Less likely to get exercised by 'Clarkson & Co' smashing up old nonsense. Will contribute to a thread regardless of OP.Not a bad thing necessarily, but its there...Well I'm old, Southern and I don't care especially for French Shite, I do like to post, reply if necessary but generally don't know/care where everyone else is, I do like cars, bikes and odd shite. So seeing as I don't fit I conclude that you're talking out yer crack, but then we all do on here

Pretty enough but the image above illustrates their somewhat less than womanly figures...if you see what I mean.It illustrates beyond any doubt that at least one of them is definitely a woman. I don't really see the attraction either, but I don't go for the "lad mag" look.

Karmann Ghiaman
What makes me laugh is that, as the Good Book saith, THERE IS NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN. Back in Grandpa's day it was the Dolly Sisters:Â Â I believe some millionaire of the period got to shag both of them. The rumour then was that one was the mother of the other. Just like the Cheeky Girls, their only 'talent' was both looking like each other & both being quite fit.
Marty
Â With my luck, and my bank ballance - these would be the only sisters I would get a shag out of
Mr Lobster
I believe some millionaire of the period got to shag both of them.I think that was actually Mr Selfridge, of the shop of the same name fame... seem to recall reading that after his wife died he took up with these two sisters and ended up spunking all his money away in the casinos of Europe and eventually died a pauper, presumably after the Dolly girls had dumped him.Still, he did get to shag twin sisters so thats presumably alright

Mr Lobster
Somebody's been reading Bill Bryson Yup! Thats it!I've been wondering to myself for the last half hour where I must have read a useless until now fact like that, now I recall - 'Notes From a Small Island'
pompei
I heard a radio prog about Mr Selfridge a while ago, and whilst it went into his gambling and other vices, I recall hearing nothing about the twins. Selective reporting no doubt.
