Looks dreadful.

However, I saw one of these in Greece a few years back:

Whilst not my usual cup of tea, I thought it was an incredibly cool machine with loads of presence. Guaranteed babe magnet. Or at least some sort of woman.

Not necessarily! There's Autoshite & there's Autoshit & you happen to like both but as long as you continue to like the type with the 'e' on the whole, you'll never lose friends here!

Big bucket of Barf. What's with all the stupid headlights these days - first they had new technology so we could make them smaller and better and nowadays the lights are almost touching the windscreen and the glass area of them is bigger than all the windows put together. I hate these modern, headlights, all of them.

wouldn't be suprised if it shares Nissan Micra CC bits-the normal Clio and Micra have the same under-pinnings seen as Renault own a controlling share in Nissan.

the opposition is that appalling Nissan Micra CC thing

The Datsun answer to the Renault 17!What do they call that because the Cherry coupe was different at the back & actually more common than that one?

That white one above is the Cherry coupe (E10 model). The normal model, which is more common, is the 2- or 4dr saloon.

About the headlights, with safety legislation, packaging etc forcing cars to become more and more alike, and grilles not being what they used to be, I suppose they’re one of the few areas where the designers have a bit of freedom. Those halcyon days when there was only a choice of 7” round lights, a pair of smaller round ones or a standard rectangle are long gone…

1973 Datsun 1200 B110 2dr; 1980 Laurel 2.4 C230; 1988 Sunny 1.6 LX N13
1992 Camry 2.2GL project car (still on hold); 1993 Camry Estate 2.2GL (was daily driver, written-off and awaiting repair)
1996 Lexus LS400

And a couple of modern Toyotas.

I suspect you're thinking of a later generation Cherry Regie?
