mk2_craig
Modern day Matra Rancho Except these things actually have more than just the front wheels driven don't they?
Mr_Bo11ox
SHITE.Love it! Amazing how many differences there are between these and an ordinary scenic when you start looking. The whole structure round the hatchback is completely different for a start, just to give a 'rugged' split tailgate thing.Great choice!
reallyloud
I have a secret thing for these wierd niche models. Not shite in the least though, file under 'moderately useful' along with the latest 4x4 panda. This however goes down as shite in my eyes - considering the limited budget and wind down of the company, the engineers and designers did a magnificent job. AnthonyG
Whats funny about the Streetwise is, despite all the press blather about it being an answer to a question nobody asked, VW and Citroen both brought out a similar model (Polo Dune & C3 something) within a year.Given what I've read about the management, I'm amazed the engineers and designers got anything achieved at MG Rover towards the end! The MD (not one of the Phoenix boys) drove a Cayenne, which says a lot tbh.
Cheggers
Yep, uses the Puch Steyr 4WD system, similar to the old Panda 4X4, which just adds to the shite-ness.
Mr Lobster
Not shite yet, but give it another five or ten yes then its a big yes as to whether it is shite or not!
Jazzy Jeff
That is truely beautiful. It typifies everything that is great about the French Automotive industry.I can imagine in 10 years time they will be so rare the mere sight of one will be enough to warrant a thread here!! outlaw118
I agree completely - shite, definitely - although rarity value may count against it in years to come. But hey, who cares?
marinast
Just wait untill you need some new parts for that. Then you will be calling it simply expensive shite.
Ross_K
My local Renault dealer had one of those on his forecourt for nearly a year and a half before it moved on.It's up there with the Vel Satis or Avantime in my book anyway in terms of shite.Happy driving! ChinaTom
Some nice touches inside if I recall - if the driver wants to lower the rear windows, doesn't he/she need to fumble about under the steering wheel just above the right knee? Definitely a bit of Peugeot 604 ergonomic ideology there.Shite in the most complimentary manner
r.welfare
Great choice Cheggers, did you get it from the Scenic specialist hereabouts (next to the Rising Sun in Woolhampton)?
Milford Cubicle
Pointless and slow-selling 4x4 variant of an already popular car - gets my vote!Is it a diesel?
Cheggers
RW: I did look there, but I got it from a place in Sandhurst (Castle Motors). Lots of futureshite on offer!!Milford: Nope, 2.0 petrol. I did look at a diesel but just TOO slow. Same guy had an absolutely mental 3.0 V6 Diesel Vel Satis
