Guest
Here is my latest haul. Or should I say "hauler". Delivered via a flatbed from Glasgow! More stuff here: http://oldjapanesecar.proboards91.com/i ... 876&page=1 Not bad really, few bits of grot, needs an exhaust and the starter motor is a bit wonky. But it's the lovely final sort with the 1500 and the interior is brown diagonal stripes. Bit of tidying and it'll be a real weapon I think. Also included this very shitey cup with integrated spoon. Can you get kettles that power up from the cigarette lighter? This could be the best picnic vehicle ever.
Heidel_Kakao
Ha Ha nice one Want to swap my blue interior for your brown one I bet you are going to make it look super cool in a short amount of time and make me look like a lazy git for not doing anything to mine since September!Want to have a Mazda 323 wagon convoy to the Netherlands meet

Guest
Just like the A regd one I had. Great fun in the wet
pogweasel
OMFGWTFBBQ!Looks nicely shitey. You really must struggle to choose a "weapon" each morning.
Guest
Must admit it is a nice feeling - CHOOSE YOUR CRATE!Can't wait to potter into town in the wagon, more than one person has said that the 1500 is bloody quick so that must count for something. Tyres are 155s so probably GR8 4 DRIFTIN, though I suspect with the folding rear seats it'll be even more GR8 4 GOIN 2 ALDI.
pogweasel
DRIFTN out of Aldi laden with ready-meals & cheap tools FTW.
Jazzy Jeff
Thats well pretty. I take it that was the one that was advertised on Retro Rides??Loverly stuff. Take it out to your local industrial estate at 3 in the morning on a wet friday night and show your Initial D drifting skills to all those soppy Subaru owners!! wuvvum
Nice one Hirst. I would have been tempted by that myself if it hadn't been so far away. Welcome to the Autoshite RWD Mazda 323 Owners' Club. Must admit it is a nice feeling - CHOOSE YOUR CRATE!It certainly is. It's a feeling I know well...
Milford Cubicle
I'm upset I didn't buy that myself, d'oh. I was just bothered about applying its dicky starter and dodgy exhaust to daily duties.
Guest
You wouldn't want to have driven it back with that exhaust, let alone push it into daily use! I don't think you'd even get as far as leaving Glasgow without being stopped - it makes an absolute racket.Have been researching panel availability - Warny list all sorts, not specifically for the estate but many bits will fit. Think I'll be ordering in a rear door bottom to fix the one manky door and possibly a passenger side sill - it is solid there thanks to a big patch welded on, but it'd tidy it up.Already know where to get an exhaust from, so that's on the list to be sorted. Another thing is a fresh set of wipers as they're flapping about like mad currently. However, the tyres (including the spare!) seem near enough brand new and everything seems to work alright. I don't see it being much bother to get through an MOT at this stage.
Mr_Bo11ox
Must say, i'm mildly jealous. Thast would have a-framed back a treat and these cars make a class daily - quick, economical, proper fun and loads of space for carting shite around. As far as your sill goes, i would get one off this guy rather than Warny. he's listing Maz 323 1977-80 4-dr sills:http://www.oldpanels.com/Spares.asp you'll save a load on the shipping. I havent yet found a satisfactory means of buying products off that Warny lot yet as they have no UK agent. You can buy direct from em but cop a load of rip-off international money transfer fees and shipping and so on.
pandamonium
I have one of those kettles lying around somewhere! Takes forever to boil, best to start it up before you set off!
Guest
Nice one Mr B! You've found pretty much every bit I'm planning to order so far. You're right, would have A-framed nicely if I had a decent car to do it with. Imagine doing it with the Galant! Or God forbid, the Charmant.I'm surprised at how many people are saying these things are both quick and fun to drive - I was expecting it would be quite torquey with the 1500 but nothing special. I've not driven it yet, just rolled it back. Guess if I boshed an exhaust on I could have a bit of a cruise round whilst the MOT/tax are still valid. To be honest I'm really warming to this car. I think I might put a bit of money into it and get it just a bit nicer - new A-pillar mounted aerial, some new centre caps, etc. I'm already resigned to a bodywork/paint overhaul as I like my fleet to look smart. Steels will be coming off at some point to be shotblasted and repainted, probably the stock bright silver.

Dead_E23
The picture's too small to say 100% but I think you'll find that's fitted with a 'Hella' power plug, most often found in lorries. You might be lucky and find a cigarette lighter socket adaptor (red collar thing) in the packaging, otherwise you'll have a choice of changing the plug or installing a suitable socket. The pictures on this page cover the various options, but everything's probably available on Ebay.
