BrianDamaged
2498cc of 22 year-old Gallic turbo-charged Heavy Oil beauty. Has been in the care and custody of my ol' man for the past seven years. He's bagged himself a Pug Partner parts-chaser/dog-walker and his gf has a mint 205 GLD so it had become surplus to requirements. Comes complete with a year's MOT and an identical complete '85 SRDT for spares. Happy as a pig in Garlic Puree.
r.welfare
Extremely cool. Can't remember the last time I saw a 505 saloon that wasn't a late V6. Most excellent acquisition.
pandamonium
Love it. I like the mean stance of these cars.
bigstraight6
Very nice, Mr Damaged senior obviously likes shite too! My old Pa has a more conventional Pug 405 non- turbot oil belcher, which Isn't quite in the same league
BrianDamaged
I'm surprised he's downsizing to be honest, since 1980 he's always had a Big Pug of some description (I think the final tally is five 504's and three 505's), so I won't quite believe it until it's actually on my drive! He's got a few odd jobs to do and has to transfer his personal reg off of it, so I'm hoping to get my sweaty paws on it in the next couple of weeks. Then I've got to offload my Escort. And erm....tell SWMBO.....

BrianDamaged
After an Escort, how can the lady not be impressed with that.. Because she splurges vast sums of money (it's her money....) every 4 years on a new soul-less washing machine with wheels on, and can't for the life of her understand why I don't.At least it means there's always one new clean comfortable reliable shiny car to go on holiday in, leaving me to play with rusty tat to my heart's content. r.welfare
I too operate similar thinking - ensure there is a newish reliable car in the household, and make sure you don't have to drive it every day
MrRegieRitmo
Does it have the original style rear lights or the later MkI 309 style ones? (sorry, me & my rear lights again! )Same old story, when 505s were still on every street, I always preferred the lights on the facelifted ones but as soon as the oldest ones became scarce I now crave seeing the original style! Same situation with Volvo 343s and later 340s / 360s, MkII Granada pre & post facelift & MkIV / V Cortinas with me now preferring the earlier ones in each case but not when both were commonly seen! Richard
It will have the later 309-style rear lights. You can tell because it has the 405-style door mirrors. I can also tell you that the front wheels are 14s from a GTI (not GTi) estate and the back wheels are 15s from a GTI saloon.I drove taxis for a few years and spent a lot of time around these cars, can you tell? Mr Lobster
That is a thing of some considerable sexiness as far as I'm concerned. A Pug 505 heading south on le autoroute and i'd be very happy!

Aye, you're right....in the interests of aesthetics I'll be swapping back to 15"s all round, and investigating either lowering springs for it or some coil choppage. Apart from that it's remaining just as Peugeot intended.
Mr_Bo11ox
WTF! You cant go chopping springs on these things. The ride quality is probably the best feature!
