Albert Ross
Driving home via Morrisons this evening, I spotted a Maroon (but not Damask) Triumph 2500 S Estate parking up, and made a beeline for the very pleasant and knowledgeable owner, and his other half, who didn't appear to object to the intrusion. On the way, a Blue 1967 Corsair was just leaving!!!!!!! I spoke the the Triumph owner, and pointed him in the direction of this messageboard (You never know) I am such a geek............... Then, after leaving, I spotted an Ex Camel Trophy 110 Land Rover towing a HUGE trailer, coming straight at me......It missed the Disastra thankfully..... What a trip to the shops that was!! Albert Ross
Unfortunately, I don't keep an expensive camera in my car while it's parked at work. That, and it was bloody dark, and it was nearly closing time, so I didn't want to miss all the yellow label bargains.............And I was buying Real Ale. Am I forgiven???? wuvvum
I used to try and take a camera with me on shite collection missions, just in case, but I nver seemed to spot anything interesting. So when I went to get the Saab on Saturday I didn't bother taking the camera. Well wouldn't you know it, during the course of the two hour drive I saw:G plate Nissan Bluebird estate2x 2CV6 - one Y-plate in yellow and black, and a very tidy blue W-plater with square headlights, driven by a Sid & Doris-type couple who'd probably had it since new.F plate Citroen CX estate - also Sid & Doris drivenVery tidy Eastern European-registered Mk1 Passat estate on 5-spokes1967 Mustang coupe in metallic turquoiseand probably a couple of others that I can't remember. Bloody typical.
MrRegieRitmo
Very tidy Eastern European-registered Mk1 Passat estate on 5-spokesNow why can't I see anything like that? THAT I am sorry you missed!
Richard
I see a lot of Polish-registered oddities around here. One I saw was a late-90s Lancia that looked like a badge-engineered version of something we get here, I can't for the life of me remember what though. mouseflakes
Hey Richard - least you could do is post a picture of yourself trying to remember what the model was that we got here, that the car you saw looked like a badge-engineered Lancia version of.Blimey - put some effort in! Volksy
I think the only badge engineered Lancia in the late ninetys was based on the Fiat Ulysse/Pug 806 people carrier.. The Lancia Zeta: Most others are on Fiat platforms, but look very different.
Richard
It was a Lancia Delta II. It looks nothing like anything we get here My only defence is that I saw it on my morning commute over a year ago.
