Mr_Bo11ox
The origina AS book club seems to have been a victim of the recent cull so here is what I have read lately. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-Motor-Co-Robert-Lacey_W0QQitemZ120161439734 Bloody marvellous. It traces in great detail the beginnings of the Ford Motor Co, of henry ford growing up in the Dearborn countryside and having 2 or 3 efforts to get a car company going before finally getting in the groove. It traces all the ford family history right up to the mid-late 80's, including Edsel and Henry II plus his three wives, the rise (+ ejection) of Lee Iacocca, the whiz kids, everything. Cant recommend it highly enough, its very impartial and gives what seems to me to be a great balanced viewpoint of what has gone on in this amazing company. Henry Ford I's 'peace ship' is an unbelievable story and a highlight. get it read shiters!
