Tardy boy Goodwood pictures
Posted 06 September 2007 - 09:09 PM
I will post here the things that I feel people will be most interested in, because as you may well know, Goodwood isn't the first place that springs to mind when you think of car shows that would interest Autoshite-ists! So here I will give you everything that was old but not necessarily shite. Infact you'll be lucky!
I will however, subject to demand, post all the pictures of everything supercar, fast, expensive & glitzy if you wish because, relevant or not they're impressive to see and is often the only place you can see such vehicles! Things like Mercedes McLaren SLR's, Bugatti Veyron's and the Wacky Races! ( )
How did that get in there!
That was the first batch! Those with a soft spot for old fashioned yank tin may need have to lie down in a dark room after that!

Do you come down this way much? I know Pompey well, I work at a former Naval base....HMS Dryad about 3 miles north of Cosham on the outskirts of the city.
Good pics Reg, the Corvair reminds me that I saw a decrepit looking one outside a ropey garage close to the Naval Base in Portsmouth last week - when I go back I'll take a pic.

I don't remember seeing any on display, but then I might of missed them as I tend not to look out for them I'm afraid. There were bikes taking part in the 'drive-by's', classic racing bikes, superbikes, vintage bikes, you name it. Probably got footage of one or two as I was watching / waiting for the next F1, rally or super car to whizz past! Not that that's much good to you Mr Bones.....
was there any bikes or scooters there ?

No China Tom, I'd be the object to the left of them in dark blue mac and dark beige combats which started the day a light cream colour but I got so unbelievably moist that my combats first turned dark beige, then transparent enough for everyone to see my purple boxers!
My g/f trying her best to be patient can be seen waiting on the steps of that indoor exhibition in the shot of the 'ANDYSAUNDERSKUSTOMS.COM' monstrosity!

That Escort thing on the other hand isn't, the guy had a bit of national press coverage earlier in the year, was in the Sun and there's a story on THE BBC WEBSITE covering the car. Most people like myself consider the owner to be an absolute cucking funt.
Have some more!

Thing is, what has he got to show for it - it just looks like any other extremely modified Joe Bloggs vehicle! He wouldn't get anything like his money back if he tried to flog it. Would anybody believe it's set him back as much as a 545i ?
Big surprise to see he lives in Essex - mind you, I reckoned asking his wife what she thought about it would have drawn a blank. Seems she does think things after all - but unsurprisingly she loves it.
This sentence just sums the whole thing up for me!.....
"You could do a lot of things with £47,000, but to me it is not about the money, it is about the car, its about my hobby, its about my life and it tells you exactly what I am."
You don't say!
