Gotta disagree-dont like the rear quarters. Prefer the chosen version.

Looks more like a MkIII Cortina based Taunus coupe at the back

I'm with you on that one! Plus of course, the half-eliptical rear side windows on the production version took their cue from those of the ORIGINAL (Consul) Capri. Still baffles me why the Capri above is known as the Mk 1, like the original never existed.

I don't think Ford like to talk about that one, it was one of their least successful cars. There was an Escort before the Mk1 as well.
