Torsten2001
So as well as two Renault 12s and a potential of another 12 saloon I managed to pick up this Monster of Utter Shite yesterday, pretty much rust free as far as I can tell!
r.welfare
That looks awful! Actually, lose the rear spoiler and the massive drain plug on the rear deck and it will probably look quite good, for a TR7!
Torsten2001
the spoiler and Halfords wheel trims are going, I'll keep the fuel cap though!
r.welfare
Halfords wheel trims? On a TR7? Was the previous owner Ray Charles??? I wonder which of the three factories used during TR7 production that was built at - my money's on Canley or Speke, can't remember when they transferred from one to t'other though. Well done, as ever! I'm suffering similar roofing expense so no more shite likely for me for a bit...
Guest greenvanman
Hats off to you Torsten, I can't imagine how you keep turning up these shite-tastic gems!
Torsten2001
Actually SUB Halfords wheel trims, godawful, 80's bedroom carpet too! It's an early one so I think it's Speke so fingers crossed I'll get it going, it was "restored" in the 90's so it's not a great paintjob, a few runs, and a fcuking glass sunroof but hey ho, it was pennies! Mash
That is an early one, good find. Where do you keep all this stuff?! What's the colour? Is it Topaz? Never seen a TR7 that colour before.I quite like them, don't know why so many people hate them.
Albert Ross
A mate of mine had a Cortina 1300 OER 130R. Lost it's diff in North Wales some years ago, after being ditched. I towed it out, and he ran it a month or two after....some time in 1989/90 I think. Good find.Just checked it on DVLA.....lasted till 1992 and ended up a 2 litre!!!! in a 2 door!!!! Blimey!!!!! Torsten2001
It looks like signal yellow, really bright, it will be a stunner! I've got to clear out some shite before I can move it from my current location, got my 264 Volvo going tomorrow, will tax my 244 next week and bung it on ebay. As soon as the V5 comes through for the 520 & Primera they're off (they offend me) so then the TR7 can be sorted, I'm looking forward to this! Torsten2001
Oh I'm sure that's not even close to an original colour, it's so thorough a job that I've no idea what the colour originally was!
