I agree with everything said before and I'll add my two-penneth.If I ever caught anyone doing that kind of thing to my "fleet", I will bet that they will be begging for their sad insignificant shit-filled lives and later, begging me to kill them. And then I'd send their dismembered corpses back to their feckless druggie dole scrounging, chavscum parents to identify.Fukkers!!I was having a good day, but this kind of thing is unnmessessary and wrong, on all counts and serves as a reminder that this country has gone down the shitter.

The Westcountry is the answer my dear! its not without its problems down here, but its very few and far between :D

Make sure it's further West (country) than Bristol though - we're armpit deep in toerags here! Gutted for you Wuvz - mindless morons. Bring back the stocks.

My neck of the woods is surprisingly low on crime. Despite the criticisms levelled at PRC, there are some half decent advantages to a fear-based society. A couple of years ago, the security guards (they really just man the front gates, patrol the car-parks and do the parking admin) caught a couple of teenagers "having a look" at a Camry one night and dutifully phoned the police. There is an unwritten regulation that states that if the perpetrator tries to escape, you can restrain him. Once the police arrived, the security chap took his foot off the kid's throat...Our local TV station often shows heart warming clips of members of the public beating the living daylights out of those caught stealing and vandalising. So, basically, if you lived out here, and you managed to catch (or the security guards catch them for you) the bastards responsible for jumping on your roof, you could have slipped on your steel toe-capped workboots and given them a damn good seeing too before the uniforms arrive. No questions asked.China - ain't all bad you know.

Once saw an excellent clip of the Chinese police force in action on World's Wildest Police Videos or suchlike. Some thieves were getting away on a bike, so the police car just rammed it off the road. Chase over in about 2 seconds. Nicely done!

Im sorry to hear this. I had similar done to my spotless fiesta when it was just 2 years old- the first decent car I ever had!If I remember right, 323s, along with Toyota Starlets, were very popular for stock car racing because they are pretty light. Could explain the rarity of these now.Anyway, dont let the bastards grind you down!

There is a lot to be said for utilising a stout cricket bat against these little hoodlums kneecaps then saying "honestly officer I was asleep in bed with my wife, and I dont own a cricket bat, football is my game...."I managed to get away with lamping the little bastard who stole my Fiesta because despite the crowd of people who came to watch as I sat on his chest waiting for plod, no body saw a thing.... I also got his methadone script stopped too, that hurt him more than my fist ever could.Hope you can get that Mazda fixed up alright, and hope you find the little toads who did this to your car and get all medieval on their scrotums.....

bastards, hope it gets sorted i realy like that 323.In the last week 2 of my flat mates had their cars keyed (along with 20 other cars in the street) and a friend of theirs had parked his mint mk3 escort out side the house for 40 mins and some on took a brick to the side windows.

So, moving two fine examples of shite on a winter’s night, one effectively a non-runner, what could possibly go wrong?Nothing! Wuvvum turned up at my place in the R5, just minor electrical issues to contend with, and after a quick cuppa we headed off in the Camry to tow back the 323. Now, promising use of the Camry itself posed a slight risk as it was in for a service and MoT yesterday and it has done 193k miles. Fortunately it passed (sort of, back there today to sort one or two issues) so all was well there. After admiring the various cars still scattered around Wuvvum’s place, the missing pin on the towbar thing was got around and the Camry did a very slow tow of the 323 (auto!) back to mine. It’s certainly a neat looking little thing the 323, just a valance the only obvious panel needing to be replaced aside from a bit of filling and minor cutting out of small patches of grot. Maybe it’ll stay here for a longer than just a bit of storage, can’t help thinking an MX5 engine would go well in it…Wafted Wuvs back to Norwich in the Laurel hardtop, good to get it out on open roads rather than just trundling through the lanes. Saw a RWD 3dr Starlet in Norwich as an added bonus.5 looked a bit odd on the driveway this morning, its non-Japanese-ness in contrast with everything else parked up.

My fantastic Viva (it was free too!). Faded paint yet solid inside and out.

Stolen from outside me gaff even tho I'd disconected just about everything in the engine, freewheeled down the hill nest to us, and wrapped round a lamppost. Thanks kids.

This was my only real decent 'shite' car and had been going to be fiercely restored and put back on road.

Arse.

Ah well. Twas a wee while ago now.

Yer 323 is AWESOME mate - I remember a few of those on our road back in the day. Always liked 'em.

Looked at the Woodhouse district when seeking student accommodation back in 2005. The burned-out R-reg Micra on the first street I encountered was a major factor in deciding to locate somewhere less inexpensive

I've had this happen to me a few times... once in edinburgh I came back to find the roof of my mk5 cortina all caved in, quite badly too. Luckily i managed to push it out and miraculously although a huge dent it came out fine. Also had my mk3 cortina walked over in dundee.. footprints over the bonnet up over the roof and down the boot. Dented my bonnet and the roof.. managed to source a new bonnet and had it painted, and beat the roof back as well as could be, then added a vinyl roof which hid the imperfections perfectly.. two weeks later they came back and did it again :evil:I kept thinking what I would have done if i had caught them, but in the eyes of the law what COULD i have done? nothing. asked them politely to get off?

Exactly. The law in this country is pathetic. These petty criminals have more rights than I do, and if I had seen them out of the window and gone after them (and it would have been with either a kitchen knife or a torque wrench in hand, as there were (presumably) several of them and only one of me and I'm not suicidal) I would be the one that got arrested - simply 'cos I'm easier to find and therefore it'll make Norfolk Constabulary's arrest figures look better. Much as I view most things in the American legal system with distaste, their laws concerning the individual's right to protect their personal property are far more sensible than ours. In fact the Texas "shoot first, ask questions later" approach seems quite appealing to me at the moment. Anyone know where I can buy a shotgun? In other news, huge thanks to SL for his assistance in getting the Mazda and R5 out of harm's way. The Camry did a fine job of towing - although it was a little nerveracking my front bumper being four feet from the Camry's rear down those narrow country roads in the dark - and the Mazda's gearbox seems to have survived the trip. The Renault decided to throw a wobbly and lost its brake lights, ignition lights, fuel gauge, HRW and rear wiper, but it still got there OK, and I had enormous fun on the back roads trying to see if I could make the door handles scrape on the road - I'd forgotten how much those things roll... SL's new Laurel is a wonderful beast to ride in - significantly more go than I was expecting and one of the best interiors I've ever seen in any car. Got a couple more cars to relocate over the next few days - I'm banking on there not being any more shenanigans of this kind before at least Friday night - but hopefully they'll all be out of harm's way by the weekend. Well, except the 245, but I think would-be vandals would be more scared of it than it was of them. I'll have to run around in the 304 for a few days until I get the 121 back off my mate who's borroing it

Hi all, if you catch some little toerag damaging any thing that belongs to you, you should be able to walk in to there bedroom and smash up some of there stuff to the same value.

I've always liked this idea too. They smash a window, you go and smash their parent's window and see how they like it. They nick something of yours, you get something of theirs (or parents) for equivalent value.Slight flaw is when they are pikeys living on a shitty estate and don't actually have anything to compensate you with because they've sold everything for smack.... Maybe a limb or organ should be given up instead

Just before Xmas, some delinquant little bastard vandalised 5 cars in the comunal parking area behind my house.Typically, the £250 DisAstra was outside work while the coverted Cosworth was being scrawled all over with a rock.I guess its a good thing I DONT know who did it!

Woodhouse eh? I've been there quite a few times, somehow we never had any problems, only slightly drunken fun and ringing ears. I do have a pic of a very sorry Minor Convertible somewhere, can't seem to find it online though...

 I know exactly where you're coming from......I used to have a 1980 Fiesta 1300 Sport that some Chavvy little scum bag smashed the drivers lock & knackered the ignition switch on whilst trying to nick it.Problem was they bent the steering column & the wheel never turned properly again. Off to the big crusher in the sky she went.I used to fantasise about hilti bolt guns & thieving grabbing little fingers being attached permanently to body panels.I did call out Plod but as usual they were too busy stopping people like me (i.e. those that work & pay their wages) for doing 80 mph on the motorway (Honestly that's true - I was the only car on it!) to be bothered to do anything.I'm in favour of castration to stop the low lifes breeding.

Wonder what the story behing the Moggy 1000 is? It looks like it was in excellent condition before it fell on hard times, and the wheels sugest it just MIGHT have something interesting under the bonnet. A split-screen model too, so worth serious money!
