ChinaTom Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Depressing wallet bashing event coming up. Steering stiffened up on very cold mornings, but got easier as the engine temp increased. Made lovely grinding noise when changing direction. Nasty oil patch under front of car. Suspected the pas pump bearings, but as I was about to drive her to the local garage, the steering wheel decided that it wasn't in the mood for anything. A 6 litre 12 pot is a heavy bugger, but I think it is still possible to turn the wheel without assistance. I reckon the racks gone - any suggestions? ordered new rack for the old girl anyway.
