Bank holiday availed me of time to do some works.

Rear brakes fitted and private* test track utilised to check operation and wear of the brakes.

Ford original bolt! So that’s what £17 looks like.

Brakes operating appropriately.

It’s wired for heater windscreen jets...easy upgrade, etc.

I also fixed the drivers door switch so the interior light now operates with drivers door, enabling full illumination of the majestic interior. It’s a Robbing Peter to pay Paul fix as I may* have just swapped the switch from one of the rear doors.

I also considered fitting the alternate front grille for the lucky* winner.

For the sake of selling tickets, I reverted and actually managed to get it to fit back properly so you could probably run around and never bother fixing this.

Lacquer peel has been improved at the front by judicious wiping with a dirty glove to crackle off the worst of it.

And here’s the worst bit of rust on the car, otherwise its damn near spotless, somebody spent a long dirty weekend or two under sealing it all.

I may fix the blowing exhaust with exhaust wob now it’s light and I can see what I’m doing, but I think wifey has chucked the tub out.

TLDR, buy tickets.

Forgot to add the rust shot, barely worth bothering tbh.

Engine shot also reminded me it got a new set of leads with the service as one was a bit on the wonk, car hasn’t misfired since replacement :D

Also, note the superior* engineering of the airbox to maf interface.

Brand new battery on it too, only about a bloody month old.

Amazingly, the V6 petrol (although it’s first 800 miles have mainly been motorway) isn’t raping my wallet with quite the voracity I was expecting, but then it does need stuff doing to it so is going to bite me that way.
