New POD
Why are they known as a Tomcat? They don't look much like an F14 The code name the project team at Austin Rover gave to the coupe turbo project. Perhaps.

Amishtat
And so the roffle madness beginsYeah but I've only got R8 experience with 1400 and 1600s and I found both gutless. Surely a 2.0 must be a different animal? flat4alfa and The Moog
flat4alfa
Well, yes. Almost 140 bhp, detuned from what it could do as the PG1 gearbox deemed not strong enough Iron block though (because it's a proper old Austin engine given a rejig) so handling not as tidy. Which is why so many Turbo ones were parked in ditches, despite the torsen diff effort If you found the K-series kettles down on torque, then this taller stroke T might be more of what you're after. Probably. Amishtat, Lacquer Peel, DoctorRetro and 1 other
