Hello from Sunny Cornwall!

Sorry, I've been nothing short of useless on this forum since signing up and posting a riveting* collection thread for this very motor in September 2018.

Now, I am unashamedly using and abusing this friendly community once more to offer this rare beauty* to those who may appreciate her for the engineering feat that she is. She has now served her purpose in these parts as a float motor for the shedinagarden household while the significantly less reliable Mercs have been shuffled about, bought, sold, sworn at and made me cry.

Said Mercs now dictate I free up some insurance and RFL budget. I could tax two Leganzas for one S-Class, or more to the point, YOU could ;)

So, yes. It's a 2002 Leganza CDX Auto. Just south of 50k miles on the clock. Full service, new cambelt, water pump, rocker cover gasket all seen to back in November. New battery and wiper blades around the same time. Also, the sunroof lid was leaking badly, so I replaced the whole sunroof cassette - replaced with one from a scrapper. I've had all the carpets out while testing - no sign of the problem reoccurring in the recent horrendous Cornish weather, so put her all back together today.

The engine is the GM X20SED inline 4 2.0 petrol.

Drives nicely, gearbox changes through all gears without issue.

There are some downsides, other than the street-cred shattering impact this car will have on your life! Mostly cosmetic, thankfully: historical bits of body damage - a slight crease ahead of the NSR wheelarch (paint unbroken), NSR bumper corner has paint imperfection caused by a bump by the looks of it. Paint peeling from all 4 door handles and the glass pillars in the rear doors have surface rust. Wheels also suffer from flakiness, but actually the whole thing doesn't look bad from 5 paces.

ABS light is illuminated on the dash. I've not done anything to try and rectify this - I was going to sort for MOT, but we're not quite there yet!

The OSR electric window doesn't work, nor does the tuner - but the CD player works, proven by the Mills and Boon CD it came with (I'll throw that in!).

MOT due 29th June 2019.

In the spirit of AutoShite, and painfully aware of the fact I live in the middle of nowhere, I'm willing to get it at least to the nearest motorway at Exeter. Unless you live in Exeter, in which case I'll meet you in Bodmin ;)

In the words of Terry Tibbs: "Talk to me!"

Looking at the interior photos, that actually looks a deceptively nice place to be compared to the utterly unassuming exterior.

We had a few Daewoos of this era through the garage when I was there and they never used to stick around on the forecourt, and while not exactly the most exciting things we never actually had any complaints about them... especially for the price in the window.
