With another Cannock coming up soon we could do another Cannock mystery roffle ...

1985 Citroen 2CV Special - French fun

1990 Mazda Eunos - Noisy Fun

1992 Fiat Ducato Autosleeper Rambler GL - Camp Fun

1996 Saab 9000 CSE - Project Saab fun

1997 Saab 9000 CSE - Daily Saab fun

2003 Peugeot 206 - Her daily... but not fun and not here anymore

From reading this thread it seems that monthly could be too short a time when factoring in the logistics of collecting the car and quarterly may be too long, it also reduces this shite pool from a potential extra 12 cars a year down to 4. I would suggest bi-monthly giving 6 cars a year and time to collect but this is autoshite and i feel we may need the chaos and jeopardy at £10 a ticket every month.

I'm stupid, but not so far as to enter a roffle blind.

I understand the Cannock one as a once a year thing, but if it goes say bi monthly I feel it would soon die a death.

Same people bidding, as soon as one or two drop out it fails.

Also feel it would upset the normal roffles of present ways.

Too many roffles spoil the broth.

Other opinions are available.

Agreed maybe an as and when mystery roffle then.

So you get your 59 who agree an up to value prior. Then we set some simple rules. My 2 bits.

1. 6+ months MOT
2. Keys left in secret place
3. Blind collection.
4. Local auction/purchase by a nominated group per mysteroffle or miseroffle?

Most of the suggestions so far (Invacars aside) are frankly not horrible enough.

Obviously I'm not the kind of person who should be in charge as it'd end up being a roffle for this if it came in for under £500 or a similar obscure knackered crock that no one would want . But surely somewhere there's a nice 205 or Maestro or something like that in a fetching shade of hearing aid beige that could provide a sufficient degree of want/peril to the proceedings.

The whole Cannock thing was a blast from start to finish. If there is a car to be raffled it should 100% be a mystery to those who want to buy tickets.
No pictures, no big clues just something like ‘under 2000cc, petrol, manual MOT until whenever and that it starts and drives for collection purposes’

Happy to have a ticket either way,but the Cannock auction was a right laugh.

The added jeapody of not knowing what the car was added something, and also knowing it was a group buy.

Then close up  pics added for the rest of us to try and guess..

It was the fact it was a rally car that threw me on the last one..

If not Cannock then we should have a location imho, as some places might be too far for some to collect.

Ok let’s agree Cannock as a starter for 10.

Any other principals?

Depending on what cars chosen, id possibly be interested in this.

How about this: https://www.gumtree....tate/1332973300

Properly miserable looking, but MOT till August. I’d bet that at £8ish a ticket this would sell fairly quick on here

That actually sounds brilliant, once a quarter, buy a mystery ticket, I'd be well up for it.

how about something electric?

https://www.carandcl...uk/car/C1083987

We can't roffle that! It's Bub's backup vehicle!

(I didn't know Bub's trike was electric though...)

Anyhoo, this sounds like a massive hoot.

Barring the invacar, I'd consider any of the suggestions to date as desirable* AS bikes.

Bear in mind if the AS Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter Risky Random Roffle remnant landed with me, it'd be very swiftly pressed into service delivering Chinese food, to relieve the vomit coloured Corsa for a bit. Granted, parking* a fucked Montego estate up Cheshire side streets 30 odd times an evening might get old pretty quickly, but I'd like the opportunity to find out just HOW unsuitable some cars are for delivery work.

Carry on.

ETA
* and then there's the issue of it starting again. That could wear REALLY thin...
