Roffler resale fine (but why rofflez?)
Roffler in roffle = Bad

This ^

I thought it was all a bit of fun last night, but in the brightness of day I'm not so sure now

I reckon a refund is in order.  Or at least a re-roffle using my original £36 quid of investment and numbers.

/ Because sore loser, a bit poorer, and totally confused as to what has gone on.

That was the first roffle I had ever entered on here, now I am looking at what others to enter as it's addictive! I LOL'd at the outcome- you couldn't make it up! Hope the new owner roffles it soon as I really want to try a Jag!

Not really sure what the issue is here unless I’m missing something?

As I understand it, the previous owner (Jazoli) bought a ticket which won last night completely fair and square...he didn’t really want/need the car so offered to ‘sell’ it again to the current keeper (Bangernomics) for a figure they were both happy with...everyone’s happy, surely?

I’m sure we’ve all bought tickets for stuff we aren’t particularly desperate for...at the end of the day, Jazoli has won a roffle and walked away with a lump of cash, meanwhile Bangernomics has spent some/all of the money he collected in ticket sales and bought a Jag but without all the hassle of having to collect it again and can now do with it whatever he sees fit.

I cannot seriously believe anyone could think it was somehow fixed??

Correct, if anyone else fancies a whinge go and moan at your wife, or girlfriend, whoever asked for a refund for your tickets dream on, I won the car fair and square, anything after that is up to me, I enter quite a few roffles on here, I don't always want to win the car but it helps people out with ticket sales, I bought a ticket for the jag because I thought it'd be funny if I won it, I certainly never expected to, and had already had the space on my drive taken by another car I have purchased, anyway I don't have to justify myself to anyone,  if I win again on another roffle I might just get cartakeback to take it away and pocket the cash if I see fit/can't be arsed to collect, I'm sure that would get a few frothing at the mouth.

Let's not turn this into another AS flounce fest

It's all a bit odd, and I'm a bit confused as to why you would enter your own raffle, unless it's an elaborate Father Ted style scam which is clearly not the case.

The winner can do whatever they like with the prize.

No one forces anyone to enter and I'm sure no one actually expects to win.

I dont think he did - it just so happen he only sold it a couple of weeks ago. So as far as I know it was bangernomics roffle, that jazoli won.

Saying that I am going to roffle my mx5 to myself and then when I win I will use the proceed to buy a new roof.

My feeling (and you shouldn't give a fuck about my feelings, I'm just honestly interested to see if I'm the only one) is that when you enter a roffle, you expect the car to end up with one of your 58 roffle companions, the roffler gets the money for a car they might otherwise struggle to sell outright, and we all have a good laugh at whatever hilarity may ensue.

Here, it's finished up that the winner and the roffler have essentially split the cash gathered from the rest of the forum and the car has gone nowhere.

I'm just glad I only bought one ticket :)

I can see why you replied, but to be honest you didn't need to imho. You have nothing to justify, anyone could have bought a ticket and anyone could have won. That's the luck of the draw, what you do with it is (of course) entirely up to you.

Yeah but only the owner of number 17 would have participated in that course of actions.

I'll admit I have bought back cars I have roffled before, once due to the car having a diesel leak (typical), and then sold it onwards for the same amount I paid, and another time because I'm an indecisive idiot when it comes to cars.

Entirely up to winner and roffle holder what happens after the number is drawn I guess, but I can appreciate that it may muddy the waters somewhat too.

Personally cant see what the issue is. I've been fortunate to win a couple of roffles (mainly due to numbers entered) but as a previous winner sort of feel obliged to buy a ticket when I can to keep things moving.

I know with a couple at the moment would probably contact "seller" if I won to ask if he wanted to buy back, as no time/space for any more cars.

New owner can do what they want....

You gamble, and you either win or you lose.

You win: it's up to you what you do with your "prize"

You lose: suck it up, that's the gamble.

Don't like losing? Don't gamble.

Well feck me, what are the chances of happening, wot has happened.

I’m glad I showed much restraint, was tempted by one or two of the last teekats, but if I had, I would have lost anyway as No 17 was already sold, not the anyone new No17 was the winnaar.

On the basis that the original seller, the roffling purchaser, the winner and the subsequent purchaser are in little need of the car, are we back to the future ?
