Popular Post Guest georgexs
Hi all, Long time lurker, first time poster here! I have perused these pages of chod for some time and decided that the shitty contents of my own empire of dirt would probably fit in rather well here. Without further ado I'll introduce the fleet: 1995 Peugeot 405 Executive Estate: The toppest of specs, full leather workhorse barge. ~168000 miles, constantly thrashed everyday, but maintained well(ish). A couple of choice mods, Mi16 wheels and 309 GTI steering wheel. Future plans are to put a FMIC on it and a mild boost increase, longer gearbox from a 306 HDI for motorway cruising.Occasionally cleaned and looking spiffy:Sometimes being the french holiday barge:Usually carting shite looking a bit pikey: 1989 Mazda MX5 (Eunos): Early Jap import, now quite modified, later 1.8 engine, torsen diff, chassis bracing, coilovers, DTA ecu, rollbar etc etc. Dodgy faded paint as standard. Needs a bit of love currently, it has been woefully neglected last couple of years: 1994 Subaru MV: Loooooong term project (ie had 2 years, moved house 3 times, done fuck all with) Bought this to teach myself to weld, and boy does it need welding! Much rust, many holes, such sad. One day I'll start working on it. 1988 Citroen BX 16RS Latest acquisition, dragged off a drive where it had lain unused for 13 years, 1 owner car, really straight and clean, just needs some love to get it back on the road. Project thread incoming soon as I'm working on this atm. As acquired: After a hell of a pressure washer session: Looking forward to sharing my tales of automotive woe with you all! Cheers,George Dirk Diggler, tooSavvy, D Spares & Tyres and 54 others
Ghosty
Ooh, something for everyone there. Except Junkman perhaps, as he likes 405s, but prefers petrol automatic ones with cloth seats. More BXs and Brat MVs are always welcome, and who doesn't like an MX5 - especially on Panasports! Welcome along. Cavcraft
Weclome in, George. Loving that 'VW emissions' sticker and the Chester registered BX.
spartacus
Good effort! I too am particularly looking that BX. I think you'll fit right in.
stuboy
the 405 estate does look splendid, hope bx not a metal sieve, all the best with the pick up, my old estate had all panels replaced til was scrapped, and the eunos... hmm....lol
Joey spud
That is an impressive fleet of maximum Win. A car for any occasion right outside your front door is in my book truely living the A.S dream. Your Subaru looks really tidy bodily and a late one being on a M plate so could confuse an unaware mot tester with its Hitachi carburettor and lack of exhaust catayst. I spent many weeks back in 2012 thinking i had cut all the rust out of mine and 6 years later my rear arches are blistering through the expensive paint job and one sill skin has got a hole in it i can put my hand through. mercrocker

Parky
So much to choose from and you can’t miss whatever you go for! Welcome along, that’s a collection that slots in perfectly here. Think the BX is my personal fave but it’s a difficult decision as I wouldn’t be disappointed with any of those
Twiggy
The 405 is delicious, and just run in at 168K. Look after it well, mine did 400K.
SierraMikeHotel
Great little collection! One of my old BXs was that exact shade of pink. Joey spud
MrSchwifty
Cracking collection of shite! Looking forward to a BX project thread, it looks suspiciously solid having seen it in the flesh.....
junkyarddog
Nice to see a 405 with a proper engine in it Love your fleet of vehicles,Welcome along.
Shirley Knott
Good looking fleet but it's the Eunos that's really caught my attention. Being such an early (First year of production) car it probably has a few quirks such as only one hole in the slam panel and the heavier glossy hood latches I'd imagine? The 89-90 cars were the best of the bunch in terms of build quality IMO, they also boasted other cool stuff like thicker/better carpets than later cars got and lighter doors, good to see another one turn up on here! Isaac Hunt
Your 405 looks the part. They were a popular car in the day and their success continued into the 406. Makes you wonder how they got it all so wrong with the Garfield Grilled 407 thing really.

Guest georgexs
Thanks for all the kind words shiters! Project thread on the BX will be started imminently, been working on it over the weekend. Ooh, something for everyone there. Except Junkman perhaps, as he likes 405s, but prefers petrol automatic ones with cloth seats. More BXs and Brat MVs are always welcome, and who doesn't like an MX5 - especially on Panasports! Welcome along. I do love my Panasports, easily my favourite wheels for a MK1. Weclome in, George. Loving that 'VW emissions' sticker and the Chester registered BX. The VW sticker was given to me by a friend, it is excellently ironic on a car with the mechanical pump wound up a bit! That reminds me, I forgot to show my favourite bit of the BX, the fantastic original dealer plate on the back complete with mini BX on it: the 405 estate does look splendid, hope bx not a metal sieve, all the best with the pick up, my old estate had all panels replaced til was scrapped, and the eunos... hmm....lol The BX is remarkably solid, only a few patches on the boot floor needed from the brief rust hunting I've done so far. That is an impressive fleet of maximum Win.A car for any occasion right outside your front door is in my book truely living the A.S dream.Your Subaru looks really tidy bodily and a late one being on a M plate so could confuse an unaware mot tester with its Hitachi carburettor and lack of exhaust catayst.I spent many weeks back in 2012 thinking i had cut all the rust out of mine and 6 years later my rear arches are blistering through the expensive paint job and one sill skin has got a hole in it i can put my hand through. Haha, already had that issue with the Subaru, took it for an MOT when I first got it, just to see how bad it was on a ramp and had to argue with the tester that it obviously shouldn't be going through a cat test as it was still on a carb! Yep, it has the quirks! The build quality really is pretty good. djim, adw1977 and Joey spud
