What is it?

-Well, it looks like an old Pug of some sort.

It's only a 1979 GRD!!!

A mate inherited an X-reg one of these from his dad around 1988, a 305 GRD for his first car.

He then fitted an "INJECTION" laser-backflash decal thing right across the back window.

Ad says believed to be the only one left in the UK.

I reckon that could be bollix. According to Howmanyleft there

is one licensed, mine, and 29 SORN.

...but only after you've spent fifteen times what it's worth doing it up.[/size]

Sadly true and why I don’t have one any more.

What happened to the Carlos Fandangoed shell that you had?

Oh, a local lad had that. Think he resprayed it (really) and knocked a few quid profit out of it.

Meanwhile, in Nottingham. He's either dumped that and started cycling home (unlikely) or is about to stop and crack one off in the bushes (likely)

Check the dashboard out, it's like a 1971 Blue Peter 'office of the future' design.

I believe the bumpers were also used on Lotus Elans so there could be an instant bonus :)

My neighbours are cunts, they even complain if you park a Cinquecento outside because it takes up a space instead of a larger car.....

I always said if something big an unnecessary came up, i'd buy it for the shits and giggles for moaning at the small car taking up space

Maybe the day has arrived.

"Problem, m8?"

Don't wind the fella up.

Just buy something slightly larger than a Cinquecento.

Possibly a Fiat Panda? The owner of this one may take an offer?

They'll never be worth what the DSs are worth. And I say that as a CX owner. The other problem is that DS survivors outnumber CXs here and have greater recognition - by contrast, only about 160 of all RHD CX types still on the road in the last year. Parts prices are (or will be) a major discouragement if your only source turns out to be CX-Basis.

Some of the classic car magazines have been talking up CXs since at least 2014, but that's had little or no discernable effect on values as far as I can see.
