zephyr ally
Hi everybody!I've been lurking for a while and using the forum to distract myself from work, so I was extra happy to see my car in mnde's "James May and shite spots at Denbie's" thread! It must be fate. It's the green MkIII Zephyr 6, the clue is in my user name... I'll post a pic at some point, probably. So far I've had the pleasure of owning a Mk2 Transit 2 litre camper (first car - ace for getting mates in and driving like an idiot), a Mk3 Capri 1600, 1974 Opel Kadette coupe, Mk3 Escort 1300, Mk2 Fiesta 1100, Fiat Bravo, E36 BMW 320i, Mk3 Fiesta 1 litre and now the misery of a 2litre dizzle Peugeot 306. So lots of underpowered tat but lots of fun with it.There we go, nice to finally join the club of shite and burst my internet forum cherry at the same time, yay! :DAlly
bigstraight6
Welcome! at last I'm not the only MK3 Z car owner on the forum! the same colour as my Zodiac too. Did someone down this way own it previously? as I saw this car at a few classic car shows in South East Cornwall several years back.....
mnde
Well, what a coincidence!! Welcome Ally! Nice car you have there. Were you there with the Cortina owner parked next door? Did you get to play with Lego?Cheers,Mark.
zephyr ally
Hi I thought you might reply! I don't know much about the car, but it was rusty enough to have lived on the coast! I bought it from a guy called Phil in Beckenham, Kent a couple of years ago off ebay. He gave me some paperwork with it which I'll dig out and let you know. It sounds like you know more about it than me!Ally

Mr H Sceptre
Hello & welcome!Don't suppose the guy you got the Zephyr off owned a yard with several old cars in it? I ask as I bought my Austin 1300 from such a place in Beckenham 3yrs ago.H Sceptre - one half of the so-called 'Management'

zephyr ally
Thanks everybodyThe car was MOT'd in Telford for a few years before going down to Kent in 2006, before that I've got an receipt for it written on paperwork for "Dave's Sheds" (the wooden ones - but with the amount of welding I've had to do on it...) who were based in Saltash, Cornwall.Mark - we did get to play with Lego. The boy and I got there at 8.30, queued for 3 hours and got a timeslot at 1.30 to play for an hour. Slave labour if you ask me, but still a fun day out and mini-me was pleased to meet James May, who seemed a nice if slightly grumpy bloke - just like on telly!Mr H - not bought from a yard, a private sale from a guy who had a Zodiac in better condition.I'm off to try to work out how to upload pics!
