Plenty of 'giffer scrapes' and faded / mismatched paint.Alloys repainted black, as weren't the tidiest. Wouldn't take much to restore to original spec.Mileage is 67,000 approxUsed regularly as is my only car.All electric windows, doors, mirrors, sunroof.Interior in good condition.Fuel economy is ok for the age and gearbox, I'm getting 35-40 mpgIssues / Potential Issues:-Autochoke a bit - erm - not. Starts ok, just needs a bit of throttle for a minute and then just runs at a low idle.Interior light / door sensors a bit sticky - may get this sorted.Small squeak from brakes occasionally, but not excessiveExhaust baffles loose, so sounds a bit funny sometimes.Cassette player chews cassettes. Radio is fine.Car is located Essex, SS9 5For the sake of transparency, yes I am 'Pandamonium', (or Alan to most people). Nothing untoward, I just wanted a new username, and had made this account before I realized you could request a name change! D'oh. Never mind, you live and learn. Now on ebay at £450 starting bid. You'll find the right buyer eventually, unfortunately I am: A, not allowed any more cars/motorbikes/tractors/steam engines etc... whatsoever.... And B, literally the other end of the country from you and your Toyota. Otherwise, I'd be all over this like the proverbial. Again, glws/roffle. DoctorRetro Posted January 27, 2019 Author Share Posted January 27, 2019 Having just done 400 miles this weekend in this, averaging 38mpg and keeping up with even the big boys on the motorways, I have to report - well, nothing. It just does what it does. No fuss, no drama. I've racked up nearly 3,500 miles in it in the relatively short time I've had it, and I worked out that in just over a month I've put it's previous annual average mileage on it. In the hopes that it does now take off (the new wheels could just do it!), please put me down for a trio of random numbers. I'm not holding out too much hope... but despite the distance, and threatened marital strife, this car is haunting my dreams... It seems my 90's Toyota fetish is only getting stronger, with good reason... my old Hilux Surf just passed it's test without advisory, while the supposedly reliable, hassle-free, modern(ish) Outback decided to throw yet more pretty coloured dashboard lights at me.
