Rusty_Rocket
Good luck! Your advert is good, straight to the point, no waffle etc. The only thing (in my opinion) I'd change its the description of the bodywork. You say, scratches/ dents/ rust etc; it's honest, but the car is perfectly smart enough for something of its age and value and I think it may put people off with such a critical description.I'd put something like 'bodywork has some rust and dents but good for it's age and mileage'. DoctorRetro
Up to 61 watchers on ebay, so I may be getting a new car soon.... Rusty_Rocket
DoctorRetro
Think this is going to go to the wire with perhaps one bid at the end (Wednesday) or perhaps nothing at all.
DoctorRetro
Into the last 24 hours, with the watchers nearly into triple figures. Will anyone bite? Will the world's most boring car provide a climactic finish to this 'epic' tale? Find out this time tomorrow. I bet you will all be glued to your screens to find out.... DoctorRetro
Fuck sake. Here come the stupid questions... What is your address so I can view? Perhaps you should have thought of that during the rest of the 7 days the auction has been running? Any m.o.t???*sighs*
Dick Longbridge
107 watchers! Fingers crossed for a no-nonsense sale for you.
The Moog
TBF the MOT isn't clear - it isn't in the description and the ad says - 20190700 (i dont know what date that is) 20190700
DoctorRetro
It's stupid isn't it.When you type the advert it ask for month and date and that's how it writes it. I can figure it out, but doubt many of 'them' can... Today's date is 20190327
The Moog
Its about making it as easy to sell as possible - anything that needs figuring out puts people off. I assumed you have entered it wrongly rather than ebay suggesting that It might be worth sticking it in the advert or title as that really helps. DoctorRetro
Well, it sold. And he is on his way.. .Wish me luck. He's going to pay by PayPal when he gets here. Anything suspicious about that?
GrumpyCat
Well, it sold. And he is on his way.. .Wish me luck. He's going to pay by PayPal when he gets here. Anything suspicious about that?Possibly. There is always a small risk of a chargeback at a later date claiming item not received or similar. You really should only accept cash when item is collected in person for an eBay sale. Dick Longbridge
TrabbieRonnie
I don't think so... As long as you have internet banking and see the money arrive in your account? I was very dubious, but did sell one car like that a while back... Cash is sooooooo 1990's apparently!

DoctorRetro
And it's gone. 4 Indian blokes arrived in a Yaris at about 9.30pm, exactly when they said. Had a prod and poke, tried a little haggle but he wasn't pushy. Paid via PayPal and I transferred straight to my bank. Job done. Now I have no car! Sir Snipes
Paying PayPal for an item collected then claiming item not received is a famous PayPal scam bit they may have closed the loop hole. I haven't sold anything substantial on ebay for a while now. The Old Bloke Next Door and Wingz123
loserone
You can only do it online Mon-fri between 0800-1800 anyway. Because....... Wingz123
I believe that if they can paypal there and then, then they can transfer on their phone using which ever bank they bank with’s app (bacs’ing it across) and failing that, I am able to call my bank and request a transfer by dictating the destination account details though admittedly at 9.30pm those telephone lines might have been closed. I don’t like accepting paypal for anything to be honest as I did indeed experience a false chargeback previously The Old Bloke Next Door
