DoctorRetro
More important things to worry about. Who puts filler on sills? Luckily that's the extent of it, have put some paint over it for now until I can get it sorted. Now seems like a good time to learn how to weld. tooSavvy, theshadow and stonedagain
tooSavvy
Ha Ha... "Now seems like a good time to learn how to weld." #1. Clamp to body, use wooden workbench.... or you're likely to weld the car to the bench top! ... Sorry, misread the page..
DoctorRetro
In the unlikely event that anyone other than Mr tooSavvy is reading this thread, I'm looking for either a cheap welder (inanimate) or a cheap welder (person). Any suggestions grateful read and I may even heed them..
tooSavvy
With a car *'not swiss cheese' a quality wipe over, by a competent metal sticker person, is quick & worry free. *Alternative reality may be found with BL ownership. DoctorRetro
In other news I've cured the interior light issue, which was more irritating as it was connected to the headlight pixie, so I kept leaving the lights on. How did I fix it you may ask? WD40, obvs. tooSavvy, Burnside, mrbenn and 2 others
DoctorRetro
Still procrastinating on the sills. So I picked up some wheels of course. Just Sunny steels with some trim rings I had lying around mrbenn, Ghosty, dome and 4 others
DoctorRetro
Yep, definitely prefer that look. Rear is lower as boot full of the old wheels. dome, LightBulbFun, danthecapriman and 3 others

Marm Toastsmith
Wheels look good. I'd ignore the rust until it fails the MOT. Looks normal. Maybe daub something greasy on it to slow it down.

Marm Toastsmith
These Vx (plastic alloy trim delete) look nice... That's odd. I noticed a set of these wheels in black on some kind of Vauxhall yesterday for the first time ever. One of the trims had fallen off... Very unusual looking steel wheels. Had me thinking at the time, although I'm not sure about that picture.
DodgyBastard
I'd like some decent wheels for mine... Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk The Moog, danthecapriman, mrbenn and 1 other

The Vectra C had them on some trims. Focus, too. Marm Toastsmith
Iamgroot
The Corolla looks really well on those sunny steels to be fair. Those VX wheels I nearly bought a set of five spoke ones for my old Vectra, I prefer steel wheels to alloys and they have a really nice look about them. ProgRocker
The Corolla looks much better on the steelies imo. I love the chrome trims on it too.

djimbob
I passed my test in one of these, on the day my instructor turned up with a neck brace on and a headache as she'd been rear-ended with the pupil before me on a roundabout, so I didn't get my hour prep before hand, but luckily her husband who was also a driving instructor had an identical Corolla, so at least there was some continuity! Fond memories, but I have too many on the fleet for my wallet etc and so forth, so have a wee bump if that helps
