Love the bright orange Kadett and the Yank Tanks. Also like the Renner 12 with a oil pan neatly sited under the engine!Excellent spotting. Is the Toyota collector a friend?

Wow. Quite a selection. I love the Citroens, obviously, particularly the maroon Ami estate, but also the Renaults 4 and 12, the Marathon (and the pink Y10 in the background 8) ), the Honda City, the orange Kadett and what I think is a silver Taunus estate? The man with the Biturbo/GTV pairing is brave. Or maybe he jsut has a fetish for rust and dodgy electrics?

Not that model, we might have done the earlier one though (same as the 4dr brown saloon on alloys up there). Datsun did the 120Y and following Sunny B310 as panel vans, all now super-rare.A few I don't remember, but the others well worth seeing again anyway!

The home of one previous owner Japanese cars:

1973 Datsun 1200 B110 2dr; 1980 Laurel 2.4 C230; 1988 Sunny 1.6 LX N13
1992 Camry 2.2GL (definitely just for spares now); 1993 Camry Estate 2.2GL on the road again!!

And a couple of modern Toyotas

Cheers guys! The Toyotas are in the club's parts shed, most of them belong to the bloke who 'manages' the place. The Citroen place is a garage in a nissen hut near the Bijlmer Bajes, the prison near the Amstel Station. The Polish/American Audi (5000!) has been standing in that neighbourhood for a long time (free parking), I think they brought it here, made some money and drove back in something less thirsty? Oh and I met the green Carina's owner last year briefly during a meeting, but I don't even remember his name...

Spotted this HY on Saturday whilst driving around for a bit in the Simca; visited a former owner later that day, he tried to fix the clutch problem for me but didn't succeed, drove home with no clutch at all (so now I know how to change gear without using the clutch, yay!), then the next morning as I got in to drive back to the storage space pressure had returned and I could change gear the way Dieu intended once again... Anyway:

They were indeed, plus loads of other styles! :D The one above, although on Dutch plates would've been built en France as it has suicide doors...The Dutch built ones, of which IIRC some 10,000 were built have conventional front hinged doors!

Makes you wonder how front hinged doors would have stayed open, looking at the angle of the front end!

You probably have to be very quick getting in and out... As for the condition of the Simca, overall it is pretty solid, there's some bubbling paint and I should replace one door and the bootlid (dented/rusty). Biggest plus is its ability to fix itself!

Hey Michiel -nice pics!Whats the rulles there on number plates? is there a cut off for black/silver- as oppposed to yellow? Do any of the numbers signify location -like in France -or age- like here?
