Stanky
Lot #3 A BSA 4-wheeler. I thought it was an MG T-series because I'm an ignoramus. FWD too with gearbox in front of the engine Bedford Pickup with 2.6 six-cylinder engine. Engine looked vast and probably weighed about the same as the moon. Unsafe at any speed etc etc Corvair. I'd seen this about before too. Lisbon_Road's Viva Interesting paintjob on a corvette. A lovely pair of Celica's. Ford Model A hotrod (I think?) An AC. But not a cobra. Beefed-up Beetle. A Dutton Something. Triumph Renown I think? richardthestag, danthecapriman, Sigmund Fraud and 4 others
mercrocker
Sadly I cannot claim the Prefect although it may prove too shiny for me! Healey is a 100S (or an evocation of same) - a rare lightweight special (S for Sebring) four pot with Weslake head. From memory, I believe this particular one is actually genuine. richardthestag
Stanky
still want more? #4 MG Sea Tom R. Toe - Market Gardener. Spartan kit car Worth more than all my worldly posessions combined I suspect. Grandad GXL. Very nice. Then we went and looked at the AS Corner with Yoss Very tidy Sierra LX, as driven by my dad in the early to mid 90s DW fan driving a BX Yoss-approved Pleasingly patina'd Hyundai Pony pickup with bent coathanger aerial and other acoutrements Not range-rover'd herald Nissan 300c. Yoss
Yes it was good to meet you all. Nice to put faces to names and I met lots of old friends too. It seems everybody goes there now. I like the way it has now taken over the whole town centre and the outlying car parks are worth a tour. And The Hundred (the main street with all the shops in) has a constant stream of old and noisy cars as the latecomers do laps looking for somewhere to park. First, two eye bleedingly bright Leyland cars. The Mini is immaculate Sandglow, I don't know what colour the Marina is but it was utterly mesmerising. You wouldn't need DRLs with this, the paint is brighter than any lights, bearing in mind this was a very dull overcast day. Ferrari Prelude! Stanky
Still not bored? Then I'll continue I can't recall the last time I saw an RX-7. was very nice. R34 Skyline with faded headlights. Panther Kallista MOAR aero screens. On an MG T-series? Bank Manager Coupe outside a bank. ENNESSEX. Turbo TVR? Had a Broadspeed badge on it, suspect its a handful all the time, everywhere. RS2000 with BARC stickers and stuff. Looked the business. Giulia done up for racing, probably HSCC stuff. These are very pretty cars. Lotus Elite? Sort of like a slightly melted Elan. Not sure what this is, but I probably should know. Looked like the wheels were too big and it was too short, like they'd cut a foot out of the centre of the body. Morgan Aero and a Messerschmitt bubble car Cadillac De Ville I think. The driver was wearing a ten gallon hat. Like Mercrocker's car's baby. Granada? The 80s called, they want their 3-spokes back please. I think this was the genuine article. Needs bigger supercharger. Are you actually able to see anything out the front when you've chopped the roof and have a S/C this big out the bonnet? Does it matter because I think ti looks awesome. Ford Falcon on solid wheels. ooof. Ford Thames Van An early bonnet bra prototype on this Alvis? Super rare Mitsubishi Celeste with some Norwegian Chrome 2cv based lomax. U R MISSIN A WEEL M8. rally spec Imp Maxi? Are these the lights that Vulgalour used on his Princess? Chopped & Stanced Minor Better shot of the Marina from earlier On the way back to the car I saw this C-class returning, rather alarmingly, to nature. eddyramrod, richardthestag, egg and 7 others
Stanky
Was good to meet Mercrocker, Yoss & Lisbon_Road again and also nice to meet Terry who's forum name I can't remember but who spotted us and we chatted AS for a bit. Its a really good event and well worth a visit if its still there next year. Loads of cars come and go, even during the ~2 hours i was there I reckon 30% of the cars changed. There must have been a good few thousand people too and hopefully they raised a good bit of money too. Great event. mercrocker, Yoss, eddyramrod and 1 other
Yoss
Yeah, half that last lot you posted weren't there when I went round that bit. Like I said there are cars doing laps looking for spaces, which is great. Stanky

lisbon_road
Good to meet everyone today. Your fine photographic efforts have left me nothing to add! A good event. I was fascinated by the BSA sportscar, which seems to be about 1938. Yoss
Yoss
Regards the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang replica pictured many posts back. It was on the One Show last week. It's based on a Land Rover chassis which may explain the rather clunky wheels. It may be tricky to fit slim wire wheels to Land Rover hubs. It is though entirely the work of one man, scratch built so it's still pretty impressive.
Stanky
Ah, that explains it, I wondered if it was another Beaulieu car let out to play but clearly not. Its a lovely car, just seemed a bit odd given the craftsmanship gone into the rest of the car that the wheels seemed to be modern steels with the cardboard bases you get on cheap frozen pizzas glued on! @Hairnet - the G-K was gorgeous, I initially thought it was a 1960s Ferrari as i approached from the side, but then heard someone say it was a Gordon Keeble. I also didn't know they were made just down the road in Eastleigh. today was interesting and imformative!

Amishtat
Thanks to everyone who posted pics, looks like a great turnout. Delighted to see that blue 6/110 again, saw it and lusted after it at a show about fifteen years ago and never seen it since.
atomic punk
Looked a good show, gutted I missed it, Having fought to free a stuck clutch, I made it as far as the A3M before the brakes seized on. Spent the rest of the morning freeing them off. Not a pretty sight, proper brake overhaul will be done soon as time allows. richardthestag
mercrocker
Sorry to hear that, chap...Hope all is soon well with the Victor - it would have been great seeing a 101 there alongside the FB, FD and FE.....
Justin Case
Looks a great event, thanks to all who posted pictures. The cycle winged MG is probably an early post-war TC and the short estate car is actually a Commer Cob van converted into an estate, although it looks like the factory Hillman Husky version. Asimo
That blue Lotus is an Elan+2. Longer than an Elan because it has rear seats. A much nicer looking car than it's little brother Imho. It's not a Maxi but a Wolseley 1800 or 2200 "landcrab" Looks like a good show. Interesting seeing the cars around town than in a field.
