Mike D
I've always wanted one of these, so yesterday I took the plunge on the bay and bought this one, although in a turnaround to what I normally do I went for a decent one, not an old shitter..... I present, my 1983 Sierra XR4i pics shamelessly taken form the auction, it's too dark outside! I've just got back from picking it up from Whitby, and i'm over the moon, it's in mega good condition and runs superbly. I'll get some better pics in the light tomorrow Mike

Spiny Norman
That looks well smart, and so nice to see one that hasn't been chavved up at some point in its life. I reckon these things are starting to get rare enough in that nick to be worth hanging on to for when the economy picks up again!

Mr Lobster
Ace! Has it been lowered a bit? Looks like it might have been from the pictures. Anyway, looks superb, a Sierra is definately on my 'want' list.

Station
How much did you win it for? I've always wanted one of these. A couple of neighbours had one and another had a mk2 GTE.
Guest Tony Hayers
V6 powah Its good to see that someone has kept a disc cutter away from the C pillar and not turn it into a bloody Cossy rep. Nice colour too, suits the car well.Seeing this makes me want to get my mk1 4X4 estate back on the road.Good purchase
Mike D
It has indeed been lowered a bit Mr. Lobster, it seems to ride ok still though and handles 'excitingly'! It's my first proper powered rwd car, seems more inclined to want to kill than my MX6!!Station, it was £922.01 :)I am proper chuffed with it, it has a different exhaust on too and sounds glorious, not loud, just a lovely throaty roar

Burnside
Well brought as anythink 80's xr/rs ford usualy has an over inflated price meaning that i probley won't stand a chance of owning one. Haven't seen a xr4i in ages. Nice one.
Mash
Nice one Mike. I've always liked the XR4i ever since I got my hot little hands on a 1983 Ford brochure as a kid. Got one myself recently albeit a little smaller! Wanted this kit for ages and had to get it from Hong Kong. Fantastic though as with all Tamiyas. Might even build it as yours By the way, if you haven't got one of these Matchbox ones already, you can have one of mine - I seem to have a knack of picking them up for a quid! Mike D
That's a very kind offer Mash, i'll take you up on that Thanks!I have been driving it quite a bit and it's fantastic, I was expecting it to be a bit of a let down to be honest, but it really isnt! It doesn't inspire as much confidence as the MX6 when driven quickly, but i'm not used to it and havent really driven it that enthusiastically yet as its been hurling it down! outlaw118
Hmm, XR4i, outlaw118 and outlaw122 (my bro) have had 2 red, 2 black, a silver, a white and a blue like that.....I think you get the hint that they were well loved in our house!!Well done matey, £922 is a great price too, hopefully XR4's will remain exempt from scene-tax for a while...at least till you sell it of course!!
