What sort of phone are you after, I've a Nokia Lumia 735 thingy in really good condition, locked to Vodaphone though but £15 posted.

Ideally an Android one, so I'll pass on the Nokia, thank you.

If ruff doesn't take it I will be interested. Would make a nice pressie for Ma. However see what ruff says first please.

All yours Sir.

Wanted.

A set of Clio wheel trims ideally like these:

post-17457-0-37783000-1544298437_thumb.jpg

Ones on ebay seem to be either scratched to death or the horrid copy of the trim.

I would consider alloy wheels but then I run into tyre condition or much more expense!

Meg wants her car to look less bad and wheel trims have been requested for christmas :)

Anyone got any mid 90s Rover radio/cassette players knocking about - ideally a base spec R652 model will do the do, as that is what was factory fitted, but I'll consider anything (especially any of the CD-change compatible head units that came in the 800 series, eg R950/R960)

Mo, I'm looking at you in particular ;)

Clayts - sorry I didn't see this earlier. I have many radios taking up space so let me look in my Rover and see what radios I have available and I'll send you a PM. Be aware that many of them don't have codes available with them.

Ruff - Thanks mate ;)

Jazoli - Is the phone still available please? Thanks.

That's in remarkable condition, so that sounds like a reasonable price (knackered Raleighs are ten a penny, but good ones are almost unheard of). If you dare brave the open forum, the 'pushbike shite' thread may attract a few more potential buyers, seeing as this thread gets missed quite easily since it apparently isn't worth pinning.

The autobox-style shifter with 'h' and 'l' instead of '1' and '5' is quite amusing. Not seen one like that before.

This sounds like it's the right kind of bike and size for the likes of Richard and Cavcraft.

There's also a large quarterly cycle jumble coming up at the National Cycling Centre on the fifth of January where you might find a buyer. I doubt it'll be worth you getting a pitch for one bike but I'm sure there'll be dealers etc in attendance that you might be able to enquire with.

A quick swap of the badge and these bini trims might do the job ? They're in good condition and you can have them for free if they will be of any use to her ? (size 15" btw)

Thanks for the offer.

It might have been useful if I had stated a size, as Iain says 14 inch wheels on her Clio.

Not promising if you were looking for over a year Iain!

You are my dad c1985.

LOL I did fix them but it eventually pealed off so I ended up chucking the shoes anyway.

Anyway sorry I really want that fire extinguisher, especially if it can be refilled. Used to be my job to out the fires out in the cars with one when they were being welded up. Oh the joy of a 213 and all afternoon trying to get the back arches looking anything but rust.

I've got one of those lurking somewhere, not chromed though and a number of dents too. It made an excellent retro substitute water pistol and far less shit than one of those day-glo sooper soaker things.

I break Omegas and they are indeed hard to find, I usually get £25 for them on ebay

Cheers, Mo. I'm in a fleabay auction ending tonight for a cheapie 950 but I doubt I'll win it - usually get sniped on these for some reason. If I win it I'll let you know, but still be interested in anything you have. I think codes for the 950/960 are available somewhere on the interweb for a little cash

You would not believe the furore generated on another forum I posted it on, the strictly fact-minded humourless old farts warned of death if it was used due to ‘poisonous chemicals’. Now I never thought I’d have to say this to supposedly full-grown adults, but it seems to be anything but obvious, that a 60-odd year old fire extinguisher is for display purposes only. If you decide you want to use it that’s fine by me but I expect a well deserved Darwin Award would be forthcoming.

Good God, I wish I’d just thrown it away.

Halon is/was the bestest fire extinguisher of EVAH. No residue, no cold shocking, non-corrosive, doesn't displace oxygen, and works very very fast. You'd think it would be possible to give a ban exemption to health & safety equipment, but nonononono.

Bah they're only water ??    Tell them  I've still got a green one,  Halon... and if I had a fire i'd use it  as they're brilliant for killing fire, :-D ( and Nuns...  and kittens ...)

I also have a green Nato Issue Halon extinguisher, not quite sure where that was aquired* from, I possibly blame my Grandfather with his Navy connections, I really should check for a date on it.
