theshadow Posted December 1, 2018 Share Posted December 1, 2018 got the train to stoke,got to stockport,was put on wrong train,had to get of at navigation rd,than back to deansgate,than piccadilly,than on to virgin train to london euston stopping at stoke on trent,standing room only,not bloody likely,sat on bog,it was only 3 stops,pogweasel picked me up from station,nice carlton,excellent fellow,great coffe,to drive back up north,great map drawing,i tend to wing it,no sat nav,no petrol station shop,blame pogweasel enough in,drives great fine on motorway,wipers excellent,as is radio/cd player,... chodweaver, Squire_Dawson, Cavcraft and 6 others 9 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

theshadow Posted December 3, 2018 Author Share Posted December 3, 2018 well removed the timing belt,and tensioner,you had it one tooth out,thats what the tapping noise was,runs even smoother :-D was she having it serviced by halfords,battery,airfilter,haflfords jobbies,had she gone over to dark side ,tracking is out,needs two front tyres, still a great motor,had it up on ramp,solid old thing,no welding needed zilch,sprayed on hycote wax,will keep it through winter,put on steering disclock,that will keep scrotes atbay,put bosch higher h4 bulbs in,side light bulbs upgraded to whitevision philips bulbs,tis winter after all,found new fuel filter £1.29 amazon, other service bits got,not done yet, skattrd, egg, Cavcraft and 9 others 12 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Timing belt went back in exactly the same place so I wonder if it’s jumped at some stage. Had my 1.8 manta jump 3 teeth once hitting a speed bump. Can’t explain it. Haha.
