ABS and TRACS lights come on together if there's a fault in the ABS. It's likely to be a dry joint in the ABS ECU, which is free and reasonably easy to sort out.

This; I have that very issue on my 850TDi though I am informed it is an ABS ring as the cruise control is also inop on mine.

Great price even though it's a rough example. Fix out the little* issues, do the cam belt and you have quite a car on your hands for not much money. GLWTS!!

Thanks, I wondered if that was the case.  Hopefully the new owner is handy with a soldering iron then (or knows somone who is).

You can see quite clearly that the solder joints at the top left here have fractured but it's as well to reflow all the big joints.

It's quite hard to get apart, I found it easiest to break off the flange over the join, then cut through very carefully with a Stanley knife. I used black Tigerseal to put it back together and you would hardly know it had been apart.

Unfortunately the shiter who was going to buy this has had to pull out, so it's available again.  I'll give it until the beginning of next week before advertising elsewhere.

Damn if only this had a lazy mans gearbox I’d be all over it like a tramp on chips. The T5 auto we used last year was awesome and they pull like fook!

How many horses does it have?

I can guarantee that the day before you sell it, you'll give it a quick clear out and find the spare locking wheel nut key.

Shit you are brave taking one of these on, they really are hopeless.

Yep, good deal for someone. Not me as it's manual, and the 850 I found is probably unbeatable.

I'm still so torn about this. Unfortunately FJ fucked me right over with it (detailed elsewhere) so I had to pull out.

Peter is a great chap and has an enviable collection so someone will get a good car. They won't find a T5 cheaper methinks....
