FredTransit
If you can find them, the sales brochures usually have them, or at least the transit ones do, every little measurement....
trigger
Old autocar magazines give the car's dimensions, Sadly i haven't got any that cover them models though.
Richard
Observers books are a good source. I'm sure we have enough between us to cover all the models you want.
garycox
Thanks guys!Carfolio was ace, they didn't have the saloon 400 but Volksy's link provided that for me. Cheers! The reason I needed this was that my dad's getting rid of his 400 (If he can find someone to buy it) and is looking into 'small' Japanese things, MX5 in particular.I'm trying to persuade him to buy back his old Ventora and his main excuse for not doing so is that it might not fit in the garage, which the Rover pretty much fills.Anyway, it turns out that an FD is a whole 2mm SHORTER than the Rover! and a whopping 211mm NARROWER! WOO! Now what'll probably happen is that he will just think of some other reason a Mazda MX5 would be 'better' but at least I have some good ammunition! Like it's only 2cm narrower but the doors are much longer so it'd be harder to get out in the gararge... etc.Wish me luck! WPA506G here I come! Pete-M
I hate to be the one to say it, but the MX5 is quite probably the better choice - Ventoras weren't much good when they were new...
pogweasel
Yes, but you are guaranteed to look at least 917.4% cooler cruising down the high street in a Ventora...
garycox
The Rover: BORING. An MX-5: BORING. Especially as he would insist on getting a hard top and never taking it off. The Ventora: WINNER. Lack of power steering on the Ventora might not be a good thing though...
