It's not rare, pretty much every KA I have ever seen has been that colour.

Well, not all over. In patches

Metallic red lead!

I knew I'd seen it before.

That's a great colour obviously devised by ford so the rust can blend into it

Remember a Cat D is only valid at the time it is issued, it is not proof of roadworthyness.

Not many people know this, but the only time you can drive a car without road tax is when you're on your way to a pre-booked Cat-D-inducing prang.

Shit you are brave taking one of these on, they really are hopeless.

I think this is a Cat-C? Not that it matters one jolt on a 500 quid car.

Good job I don't have the room for any more cars really otherwise I'd probably ended up buying this. Ka are supposed to be great fun little drivers. This with a decent power engine should make it go a bit more too.
Oldies: 1972 Austin 1100 2dr - Project Rust bucket, 1974 MGB GT - A stereotypical classic car.
Moderns: 2000 Boxster - New enough to drive sublimely but old enough to nearly feel like a classic, 2010 Aldi A4 - Owned to placate the wife on my crap buying.

My one of these had an insanely responsive throttle, it shot off the line and acceleration always felt way too brisk.

I would quite like to try a good one someday.
