Those are what are hiding behind the trims, actually. They need a going over in satin black at some point.

Do any of you guys notify your insurance when you change wheels etc?
Just wondering because every time I asked they tended to say I needed a specialist policy, or engineers report, or......
No one ever said 'that's fine sir'.

20 odd years ago I put TSWs on my 205Git and dutifully told the insurance company and their response was "if they are stolen then we will only replace with standard parts" and that was it.

I'm really not convinced that was right, but that was the response they gave.

I think I would just go with the "as bought" defence. How are you supposed to know what wheels we standard fit?

(I know we know but they don't know we know.)

Even worse than fraud wheels!

I don't trust spacers, all that extra length on the studs etc. It just doesn't seem a good idea to me. I've got a feeling buggering about with offsets upsets the castor/ackerman angles too, but I don't know any details to prove that.

Yeah, none of that is correct. Caster is independent of offset, Ackerman is cancelled by equal changes on both sides, studs don't care about length - they are torqued down perpendicular to the hub face and don't experience any side loadings.

I'd say don't do it, for no other reason than they're minilite reps and minilites are fucking awful.

If however you find wheels you want in a different pcd, then 15-20mm adapters are easily available for around £100 a set.

Top grammar tips!

Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated
Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Probably not bothering with wheels unless something unmissable comes up.

I finally bothered to straighten the steering wheel today (I'd mounted it one spline off).

I love these and the R8 rovers because so much glass. Lovely light airy interiors, with minimal amounts of dashboard = lovely

In fact jaguar have ripped this off to great effect recently. How the main dash is low and minimal with the sort of wrap around bit that extends into the door tops. It's my favourite modern interiorb5846c3f529ea8aa07528e37701efb4c.jpg

Honda used the same idea (but way more showy) in the Prelude of the same era.
