Rally of the Giants at Knebworth house, a show that I’ve attended for the last 4years but John (Janie’s Dad) has been attending for a number of years.

This is the show where all the rare stuff comes out to play, and this year was no exception, its just unfortunate that it decided to try and spoil our day with a downpour or two.

Gorgeous Skylark showing some flair

This Dodge van was pretty cool, I'm starting to question the sanity of buying a rough Type2 VW instead of this V8powered livingroom

Whereas these are pretty fugly

The green Plymouth that you can see here was epic, however he left before I could get a decent shot.

Tidy Impala was stock as a rock and clean as you like, I even liked the base spec colour

This Pontiac was John’s ‘take home’ car. Special looking machine.

Unfortunately the run home wasn't quite as relaxed (or quiet). Leaving knebworth the exhuast made contact with the centre of the exit gates and made an already blowing exhaust take on a deep big-split-in-you-centre-pipe voice. We decided to risk the 160ish miles home only to have a large portion totally part company just north of newark (it noucned off an into the grass off the hardsholder). A 2ft straight pipe is loud at 60 on the A1, and nigh on unbearable on normal roads setting off from juctions ect. Nobody got too close in traffic though ;D

FANTASTIC! Paradise for a yankie tin lover like myself. At least the sun eventually came out.Love the ugly DeSoto and various other late 50s stuff. Also looks like a '60 Dodge next to that green Plymouth. Amazing to see so many rare American cars in one place.

Amazing to see so much Septic tin over there, I love the look of those Montecarlos. I have an 1965 advert for those Dodge vans somewhere which I'll scan, I think it was called a 'Handi Van' although that one looks like a proper camper job.
