Small diversion (French content!) - I acquired my Dyane as one of two that came from the estate of a deceased tenant of a cottage down the road from my rented workshop in Devon around 2002.
I’d spotted one sticking out of an open-fronted building. I found another inside a shed, but not before I found a massive stash of porn on Betamax complete with a very expensive-looking Betamax deck just strewn out of bin bags for all to see.
Felt rather sorry for the dead owner that his secrets were left in such an undignified way...so I left a note and ended up being given the Dyanes rather than his family pay to scrap them.
I left the porn well alone - it was very creepy seeing all that vintage stuff in an abandoned farmstead and I got the hell out of there pronto!

I've just spent all morning reading this thread instead of doing actual work.
Wow what a community we have on here. I'm loving the chod Spotage and the whole spirit of adventure.
I don't want to get up and replicate this in anyway but to read about it is great.
Enjoy the rest and keep telling the story as you go.

It does sound more interesting than a dyane.

For Mrs6C, the C15 count is now up to eleven in two days, still no Visas yet though.
In fact after not seeing a single C15 from setting off the other month until arriving here, they're now following me. This was the view out of my bedroom window when I awoke this morning.

Bucketeer, I have no idea where you are but I have access to a cottage (stone tent really) near Etouars, 24360.

If you wanted to stop/stay there on your way to somewhere, I can sort it out.

Edit - I've done some detective work based on your last post, I think it might be due south of you?

Have you noticed how the French are loyal to a particular maker? You will see several, Peugeot’s, Citroen’s or renaults on a drive, but never a mix.

Despite the snow, most of Europeland still manages to function to a degree. An inch of snow here and it is a national emergency.

It just makes me giggle.

Good call on the Saabnut/Bucketeer collection thread. Wise move methinks.
