pogweasel
Bit modern? They only came out 20 years ago.
FredTransit
Ok did they? Not my thing so I didn't know. Are they any good?
Volksy
Apparently yes, they are pretty good, in a 'Honda' way..
FredTransit
Not exactly retro then.....
MrRegieRitmo
They should be for £65,000 considering they're a Honda! What's a Citroen CS, a CX & GS hybrid perhaps? (with a splash of DS)
FredTransit
Like I would know, but you are right, maybe a DS?
Milford Cubicle
Isn't it your job to know, if you're sourcing cars for TV productions and all that?
FredTransit
Well I hate to direct you to our website, but we specialise in commercial vehicles. Also 1980s cars, not specially performance ones. There are plenty of people out there in the action vehicle world who wouldn't know what a Mk2 transit looks like, and can't be bothered to find out about em. I am trying to find out more before getting back to the customer. Nobody can know every single thing about every type of car.And do you know what a Citroen CS is? MrRegieRitmo
Nobody can know every single thing about every type of car.You underestimate some of the people on here and I'm not including myself in that, as mechanically I know next to nothing
Torsten2001
well I have a pair of CX's!
FredTransit
I think I will have to ask em about the CX/DS/GS whatever...
r.welfare
Perhaps they mean a Citroen C5 - does the video plot call for a minicab at any point?
dollywobbler
Fred - for 2CVs, drop an email to press@2cvgb.com and Dot should hopefully be able to source one. I can't do that date.
FredTransit
Ok will do. I think I need to find out more first, I am sure the club will need to know more too.
dollywobbler
Aye. An era would be useful. Eighties 2CVs are most common, Seventies ones have square headlamps (in the majority) and earlier ones are very lovely, but rare.
andrew e
Classics on the common Harpenden that afternoon. Oh and even at 30mph driving an NSX is sublime. In fact fred you should visit with some flyers and a notebook.
FredTransit
I don't think there is an era or a date, as they have asked for a 60s Jag and that sports citreon, which is later. Who knows! I have to find out more.

FredTransit
Well the shoot is in Reading, but let me find out more. I don't want to get involved with any banger race scenes! Seriously, I am not keen at all if there is going to be any rough stuff, though to be fair we are usually told first, for the simple reason they know you will be off if there is going to be any damage. Though they usually buy cars for shoots involving damage.
FredTransit
OK now I know more. The promo is for Jamie T. He's a bit rap so I won't be going for the music. There will be driving involved, and each car will be filled with characters from the country of origin, ie the DS will have French types, the Jap will have orientals, the Jag will be English, and (wait for it) the Rolls will have Arabs in it. They may be open to alternatives for the jap sports car, any suggestions? You may be wondering what the 2CV will have in it. It's nuns...... So if I don't find one with a female owner I might end up doing the driving. God help me.

Station
Here is Jamie T: I think he's part of the 80's revival scene, what with those glasses (although I doubt he was even alive in the 80's). What a cunt.
